Salamat is a regional power in Anteria, while being a member of the Anterian World Assembly, Non-Aligned Movement, Trans-Anterian Climate Organization, International Association of Transportation Agencies, International Football Association, International Court, Petrol Exporting Nations Association and of the United Anterian Space Agency. Foreign Relations are controlled by the Salamati Foreign Affairs Ministry, currently presided by Karim Khawazih.

Abdelwahhab Al-Hazar is the firstborn of Abderali Al-Hazar, a known anti-imperialist Salamati-Riamese senator which served in the Riamese Senate during the Peaceful Revolution.

The Vanna is one of Salamat's most important partner and ally, with lots of trade between the two countries. The Vanna officially recognized the Salamati Provisional Govt as legitimate in August 1967, only a few weeks after its proclamation. It also supported Salamat during the Salamati Independence War and the Salamati Civil War, and hosts a large Salamati community, mostly refugees from the Jalil Al Kharrabi regime and the civil war. To this day, both countries are still important economic partners.
