Mitsue Hitomi (Magian: 仁美 光衛) is a Magian citizen and Magical Girl currently under the influence of the contract system of the Sonohoka Hantei. Mitsue was once an idealistic magical girl aspirant. However, her ideology has since undergone a massive shift after forming a contract with Hantei which has physically deteriorated her health and mind.

Mitsue Hitomi was born on Virdis 7th, 1593, in the town of Kaji in the Magia Regnum. She was the daughter of Watari and Sakai Hitomi, and from a young age, Mitsue had a strong desire to become a Magical Girl like her mother. Growing up, Mitsue had a reputation for being aggressive towards anyone who annoyed her and was quick to get into fights with others. Her behavior often led to her being seen as a delinquent by both her peers and instructors. Despite this, Mitsue remained determined to follow in her mother's footsteps and become a powerful and respected Magical Girl within Magian society.

Despite her early reputation for being aggressive and quick to anger, Mitsue had a strong belief in the values and principles of being a magical girl. She recognized the responsibility that came with wielding magic and believed in using her powers for the greater good. As she entered her teenage years, Mitsue was able to calm down significantly, learning to control her emotions and channel her energy towards her magical training. However, she still struggled with social interactions and was often impatient and short-tempered, which made it difficult for her to connect with others. Despite Mitsue's efforts to control her emotions, the darkness within her continued to grow. She became obsessed with the idea of being the strongest and most powerful magical girl, often pushing herself to the brink of exhaustion in her quest for greater magical abilities.

But despite her best efforts, Mitsue was never able to achieve her dream of becoming a fully fledged magical girl. Her aggressive personality and lack of self-restraint had made her an unsuitable candidate in the eyes of the Kotoba, and they denied her the opportunity to become one. The rejection was a crushing blow to Mitsue, who had devoted her entire life to becoming a magical girl. She became bitter and resentful, lashing out at those around her and blaming them for her failure.

Mitsue's life took a dark turn when she made a deal with the Sonohoka Hantei, a mysterious being that promised her unlimited magical power. Despite her initial hesitation, Mitsue was consumed by her desire for power and handed over her magical item to Hantei. But the power Mitsue received was not what she had expected. Hantei twisted her magical item, infusing it inside her and turning her into what the Magians called a "Sono Shoujo," a twisted and corrupted version of a magical girl. At first, Mitsue was tormented by her new form and the evil impulses that came with it. She was consumed by guilt and regret, realizing too late that she had made a terrible mistake.

Mitsue's body was constantly wracked with pain as the dark magic consumed her from within. Her once fiery personality was now replaced with a cold and distant demeanor, and her once beautiful appearance was twisted and deformed by the dark magic that coursed through her veins. The pain was constant, and Mitsue found it difficult to sleep or eat. Every moment was filled with agony, and she could feel herself slipping further and further away from the person she used to be. The dark magic that consumed Mitsue was unlike anything ever seen before. It was highly potent and incredibly powerful. But as time passed, Mitsue became determined to rid herself of the darkness within and return to her former self.

Initially a resident of Narazaki where she was grew up, Mitsue's early days as a Sono Shoujo were spent in hiding, moving from one back alley or slum to the next in an attempt to evade the Seigi Kaikan forces tasked with capturing rogue magical girls. Despite her efforts to remain hidden, Mitsue's new powers made her stand out like a beacon, drawing the attention of the Seigi Kaikan and putting her life in constant danger. One day, when she was cornered by a group of sentinels, Mitsue's rage boiled over and she unleashed the full force of her dark magic on them, killing them all in a single, devastating blast. The act of murder weighed heavily on Mitsue's soul, and she was plagued by guilt and self-loathing in the years that followed.

Mitsue initually tried to remain solitary figure, however, her life changed when she met Fire Dancer, a fellow outcast who had also been rejected by Magian society. Fire Dancer, a magical girl who was plagued by Hoka Fever, was mistrusting and afraid of Mitsue at first, however they soon relied on each other. As they traveled together, Mitsue and Fire Dancer learned to trust each other and became close friends. Fire Dancer, a former sentinel of the Seigi Kaikan, taught Mitsue how to control her dark powers and combat and Mitsue in turn helped Fire Dancer cope with her illness. However, their partnership was not without its challenges. Mitsue's dark magic continued to consume her from within, and she often struggled to control her impulses. Fire Dancer's Hoka Fever also presented a constant threat, causing her to experience unpredictable outbursts that sometimes endangered both of their lives.
