Cyron calendar

The Cyron calendar is the calendar used in most of Gentu. It was introduced in 1726 by XXX as a modification of, and replacement for, the Neomon calendar. The principal change was to space leap years differently so as to make the average calendar year 365.2425 days long, more closely approximating the 365.2422-day 'tropical' or 'solar' year that is determined by Gentu's revolution around the Sun.

Description

The Cyron calender is a solar calendar with 12 months of 28–31 days each. The years consists of 365 days, with a leap day being added to Memesa in the leap years.

Er leap year normally occurred every four years, and the leap day was historically inserted by doubling the 24th of Memesa. However, it is now customary to number the days of XXX sequentially with no gaps, and 29 Memesa is typically considered the leap day.
