Cassier has sent athletes to every Winter Invictus Games and nearly every Summer Invictus Games since the competition's inception in 1898. The first Cassien athletes debuted at the 1902 Summer Invictus Games in Verlois, Gaullica, during which Cassier won its first gold medal. Additionally, it has been the host country on six seperate occassions, hosting the 1936 and 1986 Summer Games, as well as the 1924, 1960, 1988, and 2008 Winter Games.
The Cassien government has historically been a strong proponants of the Invictus Games and of sports in general. As a result, Cassier is usually highly competitative, although it is best known for its strong performances during the Winter Invictus Games. Its athletes have historically found the most success in athletics, swimming, and rowing events in the summer games. Cassier is the leader in ice hockey, freestyle skiing, and curling in the winter games.

Cassier has hosted the games six times: the 1924 Winter Invictus in Sainte-Marie, the 1936 Summer Invictus in New Rayenne, the 1960 Winter Invictus in Lac-Eloise, the 1986 Summer Invictus in Sainte-Marie, the 1988 Winter Invictus in Bougainville, and the 2008 Winter Invictus in Barnier.
