The Socialist Alternative for Euclea (SAE), often known by its Gaullican name Alternative socialiste pour l'Euclée (ASE), is a Euclean political party that espouses social democracy, pro-Eucleanism and democratic socialism. It is comprised of a number of major political parties from the EC, such as the Gaullican Social Democrats, the Estmerish Progressive Social Democrats, the Paretian Social Democrats and the Amathian League of Equalists and Democrats. As of 2019, the ASE has a member party in every member-state.
With 190 seats, the group is the largest in the Euclean Parliament, and is a key leading member of the Grand Coalition alongside the smaller ACDE and Avant. The current ASE leader is Hervé Bachelot from the Gaullican Social Democrats, while the current Secretary-General is Julià Brunet from the Social Democrats of Paretia.
