List of Latin monarchs
The Latin Emperors or Latin monarchs stem from Latin kings of Castellum and later Latium. The first emperor was Valentinian I, who was made emperor in AD 37. The Valentinian dynasty conquered much of what is today modern Latium. The Valentinians and their successors were eventually overthrown by Philip I Augustus of the Claudii in AD 372.
