Christina of Latium, Queen of Dakmoor (Christina Claudia Alexandra Christina Theodosia; b. 27 November 1968) is a Latin princess by birth, Queen Mother of Sydalon, and the current Queen consort of Dakmoor by virtue of her marriage to Malibar I, King of Dakmoor. She was previously married to Desiderius I of Sydalon, and is the mother to Melisende III of Sydalon.

Christina is the fifth child of Diana I Anicia and Leo X Claudius. At the time of her birth, she was 5th in the line of succession. She was educated at Galata College at the University of Haenna. She later married Sydalene royal Desiderius, Prince of Petra on 19 November 1989; however, their marriage ended in September 2015 after Desideruis's death. She has five children from the marriage: Melisende, Sebastian, William, Roletus, Desideria, and Bohemond. In 2014, she married Malibar, King of Dakmoor; they have two children, Maximilian and Sabina.

Christina is the president or head of numerous charities and women's organizations throughout Ghant, Latium, and northern Scipia.

Early Life and education

Christina was born at the Golden Palace, in Palatine, Castellum, on 27 April 1968 as the seventh child of Diana Augusta and Leo Claudius, Duke of Adrianople. Christina is named primarily for her grandmother, Marie Christine of Épernon, and Constantia for her grandfather; her baptismal name is Theodora, after he paternal aunt, Theodora, Lady Dain. She was baptized at Sancta Sapientia in Castellum by Pope Charitas XIII. Her godparents are Princess Zoe, Duchess of Haenna (her mother's sister); Constantine Tarpeius (Zoe's husband); Isabella of Thapse (her father's mother); and Theophylactus, Duke of Ososnoba (her mother's uncle).

Education

Unlike her elder siblings who were enrolled in private primary schools, Christina was primarily educated by private tutors for her primary schooling. Her primary tutor during this period was John Makrembolites, the former provost of Pescia Academy. She wouldn't attend formal schooling until she was enrolled at the all-female St Sophia Preparatoria in Castellum, where she would remain for the entirety of her secondary education. She enrolled at Galata College at the University of Haenna, where she studied philosophy before dropping out to marry Desiderius, Prince of Petra.

Marriage to Desiderius I

Christina would later marry her fourth cousin then Desiderius, Prince of Petra on 19 November 1989, following a betrothal agreement that was reached between Latin and Sydalene houses in August 1989. The agreement resulted in an unusually short four-month engagement, and Christina only met Desiderius on three occasions before the wedding.

The ceremony was well attended in royal circles, and featured the first Sydalene royal wedding to feature a televised procession. Their marriage was considered rocky at first by Sydalene royal court observers, largely due to the news that Desiderius' sister, Princess Sibylla became pregnant with the illegitimate child of Christina's eldest brother, Jason, Prince of Youth. The marriage also suffered greatly due to differences in manner, and opinions on politics and royal power.

Christina's greatest moment of controversy as Princess of Petra or Queen came in 2009, when she was caught on a hot mic offering sharp criticism and denigrating the Yarden Accords. Sydalene nationalist groups praised the moment in the hopes that her husband's eventual succession would see a withdrawal from the agreement. However, on 2 March 2009, Christina denied that she ever made the disparaging comments about the Yarden Accords. The following day, Christina sacked her press secretary and dismissed Constance of Hilderia from her role as a lady-in-waiting.

Over the course of her marriage to Desiderius, Christina had six children: Melisende, Sebastian, William, Roletus, Desideria, and Bohemond.

In early 2013, her husband Desiderius was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He passed away on 22 May 2013. Christina's tenure as consort is among the shortest in Sydalene history to that point and later only shorter to the tenure of her successor as consort Godfrey Galan.

Marriage to Malibar, King of Dakmoor

In 2014, Christina attended the wedding of her nephew Nathan IV of Ghant to Sophia of Dakmoor. At the wedding, she reconnected with Malibar, King of Dakmoor, with whom she often spoke with during visits to Ghish during the mid-1980s and 1990s, and at one point was reported to be in a relationship with prior to his marriage to Elizabeth Mutu. Christina and Malibar announced their engagement in March 2014, upon which Christina relocated to Dakauregia, in Dakar, in order to prepare for her role as Queen consort. The couple was married at Dakar Cathedral on 7 July 2014.

Christina and Malibar have two children: Prince Maximilian of Dakmoor, born in 2015; and Princess Sabina of Dakmoor, born in 2017.
