The 117th WorldVision Song Contest is was held on 11 November 2024 in Concord, Plangainer. The show was organised by the International Broadcasting Alliance (IBA) and host broadcaster Alternative International Media (AIM)
This was the first time that Plangainer hosts the contest, seeing a total of 26 nations participating. Rugenia returned to the contest after being absent from the contest for 90 editions. The winner was hosts, Plangainer with the song "Under the Starlight" by Mercey Sofi, marking a historic win. Ugunnustan finished as runners up and Malta Comino Gozo third. Kalosia finished in fourth place and Ertzei Kishim fifth. StrayaRoos achieved their best position to date, finishing in ninth.
Host Bidding Process
Two countries expressed interest in hosting the 117th edition of the WorldVision Song Contest, with the ballot for host voting being held between 12 August and 19 August between member broadcasters participating in the contest.
Cäer, Darkmania
The city of Cäer announced their interest in hosting the contest at the Builderman Arena (also known as Cäer Indoor Hall), a multi-use venue with a total capacity of 10,000 spectators, this would come directly after attempting to bid in the previous edition. The city is the second largest in Darkmania with a population of 7 million, and is also home to the Cäer Musical Festival.
Concord, Plangainer
Plangainer had expressed interest in hosting the contest prior to the announcement of the city which would take on as the bidding host of the event, with 9 cities having qualified past the first elimination stage of the total 12, before the rounds shortlisted Concord and Orley in the final stage. On 8 October, Concord would win the final ticket to become the primary bid to be submitted for hosting candidacy.
Alternative International Media (AIM) and the local authority of Concord submitted their bid to host the contest in the cultural capital of Plangainer, with a population of 1.4 million people, and announcing that they would be partnering with Benson, Tamook, Plangainer Railways and Remedy for the contest.
The contest would be hosted at the Phoenix Arena, located close to the commercial area of Concord with a total capacity of 28,000 spectators, it is one of the most modern and largest indoor arenas in the country with experience in hosting several major sport and music events, such as the Melodine Song Festival.
The Amphitheater in Montanago Plaza hosted central outdoor show screenings and festivities related to the event, with the plaza playing host to the after party which were be organized by Concord City Council in partnership with the host broadcaster. The city of Zalena announced that they would utilize St. Hayes Park to organize an official watch party of the event in the Main Avenue, along with the city of Abanee organizing a fan festival and exhibition activities at the Tether Exhibition Center with previous WorldVision participants making an appearance. Orley, the runner up of the bid ticket, would later reveal that they would use Campos Stadium for a watch party and official concert, with a capacity of 12,000 spectators in the adjacent indoor venue that would act as the primary space of the event.
Results
The WorldVision Committee published the outcome of the ballot on 22nd October 2024, announcing that Concord, Plangainer would host the 117th edition of the WorldVision Song Contest.

Contest Overview
The contest was held at the Phoenix Arena at 20:00 CEST on November 11 2024, with the show being opened by Helley Bee with her song "It's Easy". The contest featured four returning artists, Noah Pandolfino who represented Malta Comino Gozo, Dave McDaverson and Dave the Living DJ Booth from Placely Placington and Ashley Thornhill from Nation M who represented their countries at WorldVision 111, WorldVision 113 and WorldVision 115 respectively. In addition to this, StrayaRoos was represented by Abbey Jahga, who had previously represented the nation at WorldVision 109 and WorldVision 111.
