The 107th WorldVision Song Contest was the 107th edition of the WorldVision Song Contest, which was hosted in Doportedas, Britonisea. It was hosted in the Arena de Banques, in the Mountbatten Consistuency, which has previously hosted the IBA Gymnastics Championships. The contest was organised by BITC (The Britonish International Television Company). Doportedas, the capital of the country, is hosting for the first time in the nation's 76-edition history after three previous failed attempts to bring the contest to the capital.

The three live shows will be hosted by former WorldVision Song Contest (73) winner Alyxhia Willis, popular television presenter Matt Evans and singer, who is set to represent Britonisea at the 108th WorldVision Song Contest, Xavier Benchek.

Thirty seven nations participated at the 107th WorldVision Song Contest, with eight nations not returning after competing at the 106th WorldVision Song Contest. However, 17 nations, including the hosts, will return to the contest bringing the total to 37. The contest will have semi-finals for the first time since the 100th WorldVision Song Contest. The Alezian Union emerged victorious in the competition for the third consecutive time. Britonisea secured second place, while Llalta came in third. Malta Comino Gozo claimed fourth, and Carrelie finished fifth.

Location

The 107th WorldVision Song Contest was held in Doportedas, the capital of Britonisea. The bid was the nation's eleventh bid to host the competition, and sixth successful. After winning the rights, Britonisea became the drew with Polkopia becoming the nation who has hosted the Contest the most times. Britonisea had previously hosted WorldVision's: 41, 51, 57, 66 and 81. The selected venue for the 107th WorldVision Song Contest is Arena de Banques, a multi-purpose venue located in Mountbatten, Britonisea - a constituency in the west of the city. The Titian Carpet, an opportunity for the 37 participants to appear before the cameras and accredited press, took place in Saintlake, Britonisea, which is known to be one of the city's main tourist attractions. The carpet sprawled along the Saintlake waterfront from Saintlake Station to the Saintlake Castle, where the Opening Ceremony occurred behind closed doors.

The WorldVision Village 107 took place in Park Bromedine, Britonisea in the south-west of the city, around three miles away from Mountbatten. 71 performers from a multitude of nations performed during the Village opening hours. The village screened each of the semi-finals and the finals, with the latter screening being ticket at £13.99 BPS per person ($23.50 USD). There were two WorldClub locations; WorldClub Main took place at Bar Firestorm in Juke Royale on the Western Waterfront while WorldClub North took place in Hanger 8 on Aysledwire Island adjacent to the international station. Both events were ticketed (£12.99 [$21.80 USD] per night, increasing to £17.99 [$30 USD] for the Grand Final or £99.99 over the eleven days including the Grand Final [$198 USD]) hosted the official after-parties and special performances from WorldVision related acts, including participants at the 107th WorldVision Song Contest.

Returning Artists

Sandy Santini from Ertzei Kishim previously participated at the 83rd WorldVision Song Contest, where she placed 9th.

Production

The 107th WorldVision Song Contest is being produced by The Britonisea International Television Company - the second largest broadcaster in the country. The Britonisea International Television Company was previously responsible for the hosting of the 66th WorldVision Song Contest in Telm City and 81st WorldVision Song Contest in Boschke - so this will be there third contest, and first with a semi-final stage. Alessandra Monae, Jason Schaedler, and Nicholas Parish served as the directors for the three shows, with the latter being a director from BVC Studios, who are responsible for the Britonish hostings of the World Hit Festival including the most recent 69th World Hit Festival in Telm and Delboa. The production is produced by BITC Entertainment with added help from BVC Studios in a similar set up to Vha Mehlodhivestoile.

The budget for the contest was £14 million BPS ($23.52 million USD), with half of that total being supplied by the Dopor Authority. The Britonish Government supplied £1 million BPS ($1.7 million USD), while the rest was supplied by BITC Entertainment and to a lesser extent BVC Studios.

Visual Design

Alongside the bid, BITC revealed the visual design for the 107th WorldVision Song Contest which featured a slightly revamped version of the official WorldVision logo which included fonts Edo and Gotham with the Britonish flag in the middle. The broadcaster hopes that this generic logo will be used at every WorldVision going forward. The official logo for the 107th WorldVision Song Contest is an arrow facing upwards, with the official slogan making part of the arrow which will feature in each nation's postcard.

The slogan for the contest is "Atoller Teuten Vokse" which is Britonish for "Raise Your Voice". The slogan harks back to Taron Wood's win at the 64th WorldVision Song Contest which at the time was the nation's third win and second Vha Mehlodhivestoile win. It was also Britonisea's only male winner until Petre Lemetre won the 99th WorldVision Song Contest in Carrelie. The official font for the 107th WorldVision Song Contest is Apparat.

Stage Design

The stage features a huge LED background which is over 10 metres tall. The LED background is split into 11 rotating panels which can also move forwards by three metres - this means that you can have the background LED staggered or you can have it flat. Behind the large LED background, there is a huge light fixture with state of the art strobe and laser powerful LED lightings to create striking displays. Paired with the latest LED technology, WorldVision 107 will be beautiful and memorable, bringing the best colour to each WorldVision delegation that takes part at the contest. The LED panels can turn mid-performance or a delegation can decide to use one wall or the other....The LED strobe lights expand beyond the LED screen strips so a delegation can use the best of both worlds. Over 1750 metres squared of lights. More than 2,000 moving heads. On the topic of lights, as you will see on the link, some of the rigs come down and can point towards the rest of the arena or towards the performance. 1000 tiles of LED floor will also be placed on the stage, most of which is set aside for the main stage which is slightly elevated above the rest of the stage. There main stage is surrounded by more LED flooring which is slightly lower down but you most definitely can use it during your performance. There are also LED strips which go along the outside of the stage all the way to the Greenroom where there is a satellite stage. The Greenroom chairs also have LED strips.

Next to every seat there will be LED boards featuring 9 bright lights and when you zoom far enough with the camera, you will be able to see a spectacular display around the stage in the audience. Delegations are free to use this feature whether that's just for adding extra colour to the arena and displaying pictures.

Postcards

All 37 acts had to make their way to Britonisea to film their postcards after filming half of the postcard in their home nations. The WorldVision Song Contest postcards is participants finding places within the participants home city and a Britonish city where they feel most comfortable to raise their voices! Whether that be in a recording studio, their local park, a museum, in the middle of a carnival or at the top of a mountain - its truly up to the participant (and whatever can be done within the budget constraints of BITC).

Essentially the first 20 seconds is in their home nation, looking around the place the feel most inspired by/comfortable to sing before the camera tilts upwards as they sing a note from their song, before the camera pans downwards and they're in a Britonish location that is similar to the one they were in back at home. As we we're in the Britonish location (if outside) they run out to meet 100 Britonish dancers who dance around them as the participants sing their song before they all hold up LED panels to the sky. An aerial shot of the flag of the nation is shown, with this being superimposed onto the screen for the on-screen graphics before each entry.

Presenters

Britonish singers Alyxhia Willis and Xavier Benchek alongside Britonish television presenter and actor Matt Evans will host the upcoming edition of the WorldVision Song Contest. The three jointly hosted Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2022 and were seen as an extremely popular grouping hence why they were all put together to host the 107th WorldVision Song Contest. Alyxhia Willis has represented Britonisea at WorldVision on two different occasions, at the 67th WorldVision Song Contest where she placed 2nd and the 73rd WorldVision Song Contest where she won after winning Vha Mehlodhivestoile. Xavier Benchek will represent Britonisea at the 108th WorldVision Song Contest after placing second at the most recent edition of Vha Mehlodhivestoile (2023). He had tried once before to represent the nation in 2021, though he has been rumoured for a long time. Matt Evans is an actor and social media influencer who first hosted Vha Mehloodhivestoile three years ago. Since then he has gained a lot of popularity and is now the regular Vha Mehlodhivestoile host.

The Titian Capret was hosted by Doportedas based Paulette Harrington and Joe Wilson picked by BITC's Doportedas' subsidary after an online vote for new or unknown presenters making their break in the industry. The Press Conferences will be hosted by Rigas Jengiz, one of the two commentators for BITC at the contest, alongside Richard Kwami - a sports presenter on BITC News.

Format

Voting system

It was announced that for the first time since the 100th WorldVision Song Contest, there would be a semi-final procedure. A Jury and Televote, similar to the 100th WorldVision Song Contest will be used.

Semi-final allocation draw

The semi-final allocation draw will take place on Sunday 4th June 2023 at 19:30 UTC and will be broadcast live on BITC1 for 30 minutes. The draw will take place in The Camden Apollo where 1,500 fans and media would be able to attend. The draw will be hosted by Angelo Sanchez and Emilio Duval. The thirty-one semi-finalists were divided over five pots, decided based on music taste, previous success at the contest and assumed voting patterns agreed between host broadcaster BITC and the WorldVision Committee. The purpose of drawing from different pots was to reduce the chance of "bloc voting" and to increase suspense in the semi-finals. The semi-final allocation draw will decide which semi-finals the automatic qualifiers will vote in. Those nations are the host, Britonisea, alongside the top five nations from last edition including winner Malta Comino Gozo, Achaean Republic, Waisnor, Carrelie (who takes Plangainer's spot) and Beepee (who takes Uthossia's spot).

At 18:00 UTC on the 2nd June 2023, the pots for this edition were confirmed as following:
