Eldmarks Television AB (Blosltandic: Eldmarks Television Aktiebolag), also known as ELT, is the national public television network of Eldmark, funded by taxpayers through a personal use tax levied on income, though in the past funding was provided by a television license, a tax on radios, or from proceeds garnered by various sin taxes. ELT is modeled after several public broadcasters such as GBF and EBS. ELT operates four regular television channels, three radio stations, and a news website. ELT is best described as a Quango, or a quasi-autonomous non-government organisation, in which members of the Board are directly appointed by the Riksdag's Bureau of Public Media. ELT is permitted to air advertisements, however the BPM is allowed to directly intervene in what is and is not advertised.
