The 117th WorldVision Song Contest is was held on 11 November 2024 in Concord, Plangainer. The show was organised by the International Broadcasting Alliance (IBA) and host broadcaster Alternative International Media (AIM)
Plangainer hosted the competition for the first time with 26 countries taking part in the contest.
Rugenia would see a return to the contest after an lengthy 90 edition absence.
The winner were hosts, Plangainer, with the song "Under the Starlight" performed and written by Mercey Sofi, marking their first win in the competition after placing first in both the jury and public vote. Ugunnustan finished as runner up followed up by Malta Comino Gozo in third. Kalosia and Ertzei Kishim would complete the top five. StrayaRoos would achieve their best position to date, finishing in ninth.
Host Bidding Process
The ballot for host voting was conducted between 12 August and 19 August among member broadcasters participating in the 117th edition of the WorldVision Song Contest. Two countries expressed interest in hosting the event.
Cäer, Darkmania
Darkmania expressed interest in hosting the contest in their second largest city, Cäer, at the Builderman Arena, also known as the Cäer Indoor Hall, a multi-purpose venue with a total capacity of 10,000 spectators. This was their second consecutive attempt, and the proposal bore identical content to their WorldVision 116 bid.
The Cäer Musical Festival is held in the city, which is the second largest in Darkmania with a population of 7 million.
Concord, Plangainer
Plangainer indicated interest in hosting the contest prior to the announcement of the city that would serve as the event's bidding host, with 9 locations qualifying past the first elimination stage of a total of 12, before the rounds shortlisted Concord and Orley. Concord would secure the final ticket to become the primary proposal for hosting candidacy on October 8.
Alternative International Media (AIM) and the local authority of Concord submitted a bid to host the contest in the cultural capital of Plangainer, which has a population of 1.4 million. They also announced that they would be partnering with Benson, Tamook, Plangainer Railways, and Remedy for the contest.
The contest would be hosted at the Phoenix Arena, located close to the commercial area of Concord with a total capacity of 28,000 spectators, it is one of the most modern and largest indoor arenas in the country with experience in hosting several major sport and music events, such as the Melodine Song Festival.
The Concord City Council, in collaboration with the host broadcaster, organized the after party at the Montanago Plaza Amphitheater, which served as the venue for central outdoor show screenings and festivities associated with the event. The council of Zalena were also involved by announcing that Zalena will be hosting an official watch party of the event in the Main Avenue at St. Hayes Park. Additionally, the city of Abanee would aim to organize a fan festival and exhibition activities at the Tether Exhibition Center, with previous WorldVision participants making an appearance.
Orley, the runner-up of the bid ticket, announced that they would utilize Campos Stadium for an official concert and viewing party during and after the event. The adjacent indoor venue, which would serve as the primary event space would house 12,000 visitors during the festivities.
Results
The WorldVision Committee published the outcome of the ballot on 22nd October 2024, announcing that Concord, Plangainer would host the 117th edition of the WorldVision Song Contest.

Contest Overview
On November 11, 2024, the Phoenix Arena held the contest, which was inaugurated by Helley Bee's performance of "It's Easy."
The contest included four returning artists: Noah Pandolfino, who represented Malta Comino Gozo, Dave McDaverson and Dave the Living DJ Booth from Placely Placington, and Ashley Thornhill from Nation M, who represented their countries at WorldVision 111, WorldVision 113, and WorldVision 115 respectively. In addition, Abbey Jahga, who had previously represented the nation at WorldVision 109 and WorldVision 111, returned to represent StrayaRoos.
