The Social and Economic Council (Montecaran: Conségio sociàl ed econòmica, CSE) is a consultative assembly that can, and must in certain circumstances, review pending legislation. It is made up of delegates of trade unions, industrial organizations, professions, trades and crafts, cooperatives, and representatives of groups outside the labor market. Opinions and recommendations of the council, while not binding, facilitate social dialogue and inform the legislative process.

Membership

Delegates remain employed by their representative organizations and serve on the council part-time without drawing a salary from the state.
