Sonha,[a][b] officially the Labour Directorate of Sonha,[c], is a constructivist nation located in East Ochran, spanning an area of approximately XXX square kilometers (XXX square miles), it is home to a population of over 52 million people. The nation shares land borders with Yunxia in the north and its exclave of Nángăng in the south, and shares maritime borders with Daobac in the south. Its capital and largest city, Congminh, serves as the political, economic, and cultural center of the country.

In acient times, the Daoan Conclave established settlements along the southern coast of Ochran, which gradually expanded to what is now known as Sonha. The Siriwang Eruption in 1353 caused chaos among the Tahamajan Empire that led to invasion of the Shenzou Empire into Tahamajans holdings in southern Ochran. A tributary state was established with the Trọng dynasty being in control of the territory. Sonha went through prolonged warfare in the 19th and 20th century, with the nation being forced participate in both the First Cross-Strait War and Second Cross-Strait War. As a result of the prolonged warfare, an armed revolution was launched by the nationalist coalition Workers' League, led by the constructivist revolutionary Hà Xuân Minh. The authoritarian Socialist Directorate of Sonha led by Đông Ngô, a close disciple of Minh, was overthrown in the May Uprising in XXXX, which resulted in the Sonha War. The Labour Directorate, the successor of the Workers' League, reunified the country as a federal socialist state under the Supreme Worker Council in XXXX. Sonha's devastated economy began to soar under the Directorate's leadership, recording one of the fastest rises in average GDP per capita. Despite lacking natural resources, the nation rapidly developed based on international trade and economic globalization, integrating itself within the world economy with export-oriented industrialization. In the 21st century, despite being classified as a newly industrialized country, the country is considered to have one of the worst human rights records in the world, with numerous counts of labor disputes, mandatory over 50 hours working time, human rights abuses, etc. went unrecorded.

Sonha is a totalitarian dictatorship under a technocratic directorate. Officially, Sonha is an "independent political entity under the constructivist guideline", which holds democratic elections, however outside observers have described the elections as unfair, uncompetitive, and pre-determined. The nation is governed by the Supreme Worker Council, under a single-party system led by the Labour Directorate. The Directorate enforces policies of heavy collectivization, urban planning, and industrial synergy to ensure equitable development and productivity. Services such as education, healthcare, housing, and public transportation are state-funded and designed to integrate seamlessly with urban-industrial life. Sonha claims to be the sole legitimate government of the Daoan people, with the territories of Daobac and Yuanxia's Nángăng Province is historically Daoan territories.

Sonha maintains a "Just-In-Time military" doctrine, with the Military Directorate focusing on precision and efficiency by producing weapons and equipment only in preparation for wartime. The active-duty military is moderately sized but highly specialized, prioritizing strategic defense over expansionist ambitions. In addition to being a member of the Forum of Nations since XXXX, Sonha is also a member of the Association of Ozeros Nations and the Kiso Pact.

Notes

  1. Daoan: Sơn Hà [sɤn˧˨ʔ haː˧]
  2. The spelling "Son Ha" or the full Daoan form "Sơn Hà" is primarily used in Anglish by local and government-operated media. "Son Ha" is, in fact, formally designated and recognized by the Supreme Worker Council and the Forum of Nations as the standardized country name.
  3. Alternatively the Labour Directorate of Son Ha with a different spelling
