Alexius, Prince of Youth (Gaius Claudius Anicius Sabinus Alexius Iacaerus Marius Iacobus; 12 March 2015) is the heir apparent to the Latin and Perateian thrones as the eldest son of Emperor Constantine XX. At the time of his birth, he was second in line to the Latin and Perateian thrones.
Birth and baptism
The Imperial Household announced, on 22 September 2014, that then Constantine, Prince of Youth and Princess Amelia were expecting their second child. Alexius was born in the Purple Room of Palatium Supranio, in Adrianople on 12 March 2015, at 1:19 WBT. Upon his birth, he displaced his older sister, Princess Diana, as his father's heir. In June 2015, commemorative coins were issued to celebrate his birth.
His name was announced a week later, and after much speculation an announcement from the base of the Palatine Hill named the heir Alexius Iacaerus Marius Iacobus. He was named Alexius for his maternal uncle, Alexius Verrucosus, Marius for his maternal grandfather Marius Verrocosus, Jacobus for his paternal grandfather Jacobus VI Claudius. His birth was widely celebrated, as the future emperor, in Latium and Perateia, with a 21-gun salute taking place throughout the county, and the bells of Sancta Sapientia and Hagia Euergetou were rung for nearly five hours.
On 2 June 2015, Alexius was baptized by Pope Urban IX, at Sancta Sapientia, in Castellum ab Alba, using water from the Yarden River. Alexius's godparents are Prince Leo, Duke of Alba (her father's cousin); Lucia of Keld (Leo's wife and his mother's cousin); Alexius Verrucosus (her mother's brother); and Alazne Dain (Alexius' wife).
Education
Private tutors have attended Alexius since 2020. In 2022, Alexius began his formal education at Eleutherion, in Leonople.
Official appearances
Alexius made his first public appearance on 5 November for his father's birthday celebration. He has traveled with his parents on state visits to Ghant, Alanahr, and Gelonia.

Though Alexius's name was not announced until a week after her birth, he was a Prince of Latium from birth in accordance with the succession traditions. He was formally announced as Prince of Youth and Imperator Destinatus ("Destined to be Emperor") in his following his father's elevation as junior emperor, indicating his legal status as heir apparent. He is also heir to his father's titles abroad, such as the Duchy of Tolosa, in Garza.
