The WorldVision Song Contest, often referred to as "WSC" or "WV", is an annual music competition between different countries in NationStates. The contest is similar to the Eurovision Song Contest, as all participating countries submit one song to perform on television, and then vote on the songs from other countries, to decide the most popular song. The contest was originally started to promote world peace, but that theme quickly died down during the very first contest, with the hosts of the second edition announcing that they will stand for free speech, rather than a political theme. Now, although the contest serves no real political purpose, it has helped popularise many of the participating songs inside and outside the participating countries.

  • Chenkorya was the nation with the highest amount of points awarded and kept that title for 20 editions with 178 points, however, that was beaten in Titaniumland, where Polkopia received 187 points.
  • A draw between Izmedu and Talvezout, however, Izmedu had 19 votes whereas Talvezout 16.
  • Ekoz joint first with Kalosia, however later disqualified after failure to vote.
  • Initially, In WorldVision 48, Euskirribakondara had won the contest, but due to a failure to vote, the win was handed down to Polkopia.
  • In WorldVision 2, Lovisa received 0 points ("Nil Points"), becoming the first nation to recieve zero points at WorldVision. This feat would be replicated by Krsta in WV14, Iglesian Archipelago in WV16, Merecendi in WV66, Placely Placington in WV98, Robloxian Robloxia in WV105 and WV112, Greater Britain and Irelandia in WV111, and Vartugia in WV115

  • At the 82nd WorldVision Song Contest, the televote and Jury votes were separated in what was a trial for that edition only. The Jury votes which you can find here, had Llalta win with 143 points, Britonisea in second place with 129 points, Izmedu with 126 points with Todlichebujoku and Elejamie rounding out the top 5.

In WorldVision Song Contest 20, Achalya Santis was granted the rights to host the 20th WorldVision Song Contest after there were complications with Krytenia, the elected hosts. WorldVision Song Contest 116 had it's thread restarted, follwing a forumcrash.
