The Worldvision Song Contest 100 is the forthcoming centennial edition of the Worldvision Song Contest. The contest will be organised by the International Broadcasting Alliance (IBA), alongside the host broadcaster RTVK in Monterra, Kalosia.

Location

Bidding phase

Four countries bid to host the 100th edition of the Worldvision Song Contest, with cities from Kalosia, Britonisea, Placely Placington and Caryton submitting numerous bids to host the centennial edition. Representatives from Monterra, a city in the Kostë Ženovesë municipality presented their bid to hold the contest at the Arenë Mediteranika venue, a 22,000 capacity arena which had recently undergone renovations to expand internal space and renovate areas of the venue. The broadcaster RTVK announced that the contest bid will include moving to the Arenë Mediteranika venue as opposed to the Monterra Concert Hall, which previously hosted the contest three times.

Several locations in Britonisea also expressed interest by bidding for the contest. Kitsune Arena, Arena de Banques and The Grand Hall submitted their bids to the national broadcaster BITC in hosting the centennial edition of the Worldvision Song Contest, and was decided not soon after that the Grand Hall in Deportedas would be the bid that the broadcaster would choose to represent to host the Worldvision Song Contest provided that the Britonish bid would win the bidding phase.

Caryton announced their own interest at hosting the contest in Schuftsburg, Caryton. A town with a population of 29,059 in Arden County in a custom designed center made for the hosting of the contest.

The final hosting nation was announced on the 27th of June, with Monterra, Kalosia winning the bidding process with 230 points, followed by Doportedas, Britonisea in second place with 222 points.

Incidents

Plangainerian withdrawal

During preparations for the upcoming Worldvision Song Contest, reports rose that the Plangainerian participant for Eurovision had been involved in an vehicular collision in Monterra, Kalosia. The national public broadcaster Alternative International Media (AIM) revealed that while the participant and the individuals involved in the accident only sustained minor injuries, the broadcaster was found fit to announce a mandatory pause on preparations of the Plangainerian act for the contest.

Later on the 4th of July, the broadcaster announced that due to the conditions of her injuries, she would not be fit to represent Plangainer and thus had resulted in the broadcaster announcing the withdrawal from the contest.
