The International Astronomical Commission (IAC) is an inter-governmental body, which primarily focuses on coordination, standardization, and providing common conventions in the fields of astronomy, astrophysics, and space exploration. It has provided a basic international framework to promote standardization, facilitate cooperation, asses discoveries, assign common names and codes, establish guidelines, publish specifications, test protocols, as well as draft and collect funding for science projects, settles disputes, and promotes the fair use of space, among other areas.

Although the IAC is the de facto international astronomical agency for Anteria as a whole, much like ICARRUSS, It is not an officially international sanctioned agency; actions, policies, and other promotions of the IAC are non-binding, but serve as way to coordinate. There are no ways to enforce IAC conventions by design.

The IAC is made up of several separate entities.

Agency	Headquarters	Purpose
IAC Administration Office (IACAO)		The main body of the IAC, which administrators the other entities of the IAC as well as is the principle organization for facilitating cooperation, collecting funds for projects, settling disputes, and promote coordination, among other duties.
IAC Spaceflight Coordinating Office (IACSFCO)		IACSFCO is primarily responsible for coordinating spaceflight operations in low-Anteria orbit between member states, to include tracking of satellites, manned space probes, and other objects to prevent collision. IACSFCO also helps member states by providing safe orbits for objects to fly in, among other duties.
IAC Naming Board (IACNB)		IACNB is primarily responsible for providing common nomenclature for devices, technology, codes, and other objects as well as assign common or referential names to refer to astronomical bodies.
IAC Research and Development Office (IACRD)		IACRD is primarily responsible for coordinating research and development between space related organizations, corporations, and persons when appropriate for the purposes of joint projects and peer-review. IACRD does not do any of its own research and development, but acts as neutral body to network between separate groups.
