Prehistory and Migration (antiquity-1013BC)
Early Aquilian History (1013BC-600)
The Empire of Ka'Mathu (600-800)
Collapse of Ka'Mathu (800-1200)
The Empire of Aquilos (1200-1590)
Kentalian Colonization (1590-1604)
Founding the Aquilos Colony (1590-1592)
In 1590 the first colonial settlers from Kentalis arrived in what was land from the Empire of Aquilos nearby modern-day Bagres. While the Kentalian settlers originally planned to fight and kill the natives, because the Aquilians gave them land and gifts they decided to hold off to see if they would teach them about the land. They learned that the Aquilians were great at fishing and knew all about the local species of fish. The Kentalians let some Aquilians be assimilated while others were captured as slaves and forced to fish. The name Aquilos originated sometime in early 1591 and can be assumed to be taken from what the natives called the lands. The Aquilos colony was put under the ownership of The West-Protisean Trade Company of Kentalis with the main export being fish.
Founding of Eseiras (1591-1594)
The settlers were met with anger from the Aquilian Empire due to the Aquilos colony capturing natives as slaves. The Aquilian Empire decided to capture the settlers, leading to a year-long conflict know as the Kentalian-Aquilian war. The war resulted in the Aquilian Empire falling apart and most of the natives being killed or captured, with a "lucky" few being assimilated into the Aquilos colony. The Eseiras colony claimed most of the land of the Aquilain Empire. While originally the Aquilos colony and the Eseiras colony were supposed to be merged together, the decision was changed due to the Kentalian-appointed governors not coming to an agreement. While originally the name of the colony was the Aquilos colony, after the cancelation of the merge the colony was named Eseiras after the capital of the Aquilian Empire. The colony was put under control of the West-Protisean Trade Company of Kentalis, however this colony proved less lucrative as the Aquilos colony. The main exports were lumber, furs and fish.
Founding of Nues and Biliro (1594-1597)
With the Eseiras and Aquilos colonies in place, settlers were sent to take the rest of the land owned by the Aquilian Empire. The northern colony was named Biliro and the southern Nues.
Ownership given to The Trade Company (1597-1604)
The Aquilos colony was the first of the four colonies to be put under control of the The West-Protisean Trade Company of Kentalis in 1597. Over the span of 7 years, the other four colonies were put under control by the trade company.
