The International Law Enforcement and Special Operations Command or commonly known as ILESOC is a law enforcement organisation specialising in special operations activities such as:
- Technical surveillance counter-measures
- Counter espionage
- Counter-terrorism
- Reconnaissance
- Hostage rescue
- Competitive intelligence
- Corporate Investigation
- Competitive intelligence
- Counter surveillance
The organisation was created as a response to the need for a special operations unit to combat various crime syndicates, drug cartels, and other groups during the Arachnid Drug War. The organisation's members were composed primarily of Task Force 141, Task Force 142, Task Force 219, Task Force 853, Department 7B2, and the Einsatzkommando Gneisenau units who served during the Imperial Crisis that ended a month prior to the organisation's creation. The sole focus of the organisation is to eradicate and eliminate further possible uses of the drug known as Arachnid, a highly addictive drug which was created by Rupprecht Grünspan to provide Imperial troops with longer fighting capabilities and alertness. However, the war ended following the assassination of Emperor Maximillian III and Grünspan was forced to flee to the safety of the Ruzhite Empire, where he produced and distributed it.
The organisation is politically neutral with the focus only on combatting the drug and various crime syndicates. Its associations and supports included Pavlov & Craig, the MI6, and the Section 6.
