Sagolsh (Hoterallian: Zōkuni), officially The Free Island of Sagolsh (Hoterallian: Furīairando Zōkuni) is a small island nation in southern Olivacia. It consists of two cities, Sagolsh, the capital and biggest city, with about 26 000 inhabitants, and Morech, which toghether add up to the country’s population of about 29,000 citizens. The island is approximately 8km (5mi) in width and 14km (9mi) in length. It is not seperated into any governmental areas on the Hoterallian level, and is considered as one.

It is a constitutional monarchy, with the royal family serving only a representative role, and being limited by The National Royal Limitations Charter, which became active in 1924. The main governmental representative is the prime minister, Choji Kikushi. He is also head of parliament. The Cardinal Judge, Bikichi Imai, is the most important person in the judicial branch of government. The people only elect the parliament and the prime minister.

Hoterallian control

After Hoterallia took control over the island after the GW (short for Great War), living conditions and the economy improved, however the people were treated as low class citizens.

The treatment of Sagolshis and Riamese immigrants

The Hoterallian government had treated Sagolshis as low class citizens. None, other than the rich were allowed to serve in the Local Sagolshi Parliament, (today’s Kingdom Governance). Strict restrictions were placed, which were way more sympatethic to the Hoterallian Regime than an average citizen. They helped to pass many laws, which are still in place to this day. Whilst a high number of them have since been redacted, the ones that are in place are controversial amongst the government.

The Riamese citizens had it much worse, as the LSP passed laws that only allowed them to buy houses at the edge of cities, and serve low paying jobs. These laws have been deemed unconstitutional, and all minorities have been since protected under it.
