Gilberto Costella, CGdU, CGdlG (21 August 1925 - 15 September 2023), also known as Gil, was a Galet politician and retired diplomat who served as President of the Commonwealth from 1973 to 1980 and as Partenari and Minister of Foreign Affairs from 1973 to 1984. He had been a Representative for Muntognas da l'Aua from 1969 to 1972, and afterwards, from 1980 to 1992. Gilberto Costella was known for ending the 20-year policy of absolute neutrality in 1975, giving way to the convenience diplomacy policy of the 70s, 80s and 90s. He served as a diplomat and ambassador to Vileria from 1955 to 1963.
