It was founded in 1988 when the Freician government assumed responsibility for transport and infrastructur and is headquartered in Sekapa.[1]

National Transport has responsibility for all public transport in Freice, including buses, taxis, and water services.[2] It is also responsible for operating, maintaining, and improving roads in Freice.[2] It may, with the consent of the Island Meeting, license transport services to private companies, with Connections Transport Company being the only private company with a license operating in Freice.[3] National Transport maintains close links with the Riamese Federal Ministry of Transport.
