Geography
Agarntrop is an island nation in the continent of Thuadia. It is located in the Hagalaz Ocean to the south of the Thuadian mainland. The closest country to Agarntrop geographically is Elenias, however it is culturally more closely linked to Neuewland and Prei Meas. The island of Agarntrop itself is low-lying and densely populated with a total population of nearly 22 million. Rising sea levels have led to the construction of flood defences and more people moving inland towards Mount Karamos, the highest point on the island at 2134 metres tall. Despite this, Agarntrop is not prone to tsunamis. The majority of Agarntrop's population is located in its urban centres.
Largest Cities
Wagehut
Established by Neuew colonialists in 1742, the capital city and largest city in Agarntrop is Wagehut. Wagehut has an overall population of 2.3 million, with a metro population of 4.1 million. It is located on the western side of the island, and is the centre of Agarntrop's finance sector. It is home to the Government, the Legislature, and the Judiciary. Since Wagehut experienced an economic boom following the tax cuts of the 1990s, it and the west coast in general has greatly economically outperformed that of the east coast and the centre of the island. Despite this, a great proportion of Wagehut is much less affluent, generally on the south side of the city. This area is home to the vast majority of Wagehut's Aschari community. Wagehut's mayor is Heng Sen, a member of the Socialist Party.
Makänder
Makänder is the second largest city in Agarntrop, with an overall population of 900,000 and a metro population of 1.6 million. It is located inland on the northern side of the island, around half way between Mount Karamos and the north coast. Historically a manufacturing hub, Makänder has transformed into a more service-based economy since the 1990s as the manufacturing sector was outsourced to Prei Meas. Makänder has a large Aschari community, and is less affluent than both Wagehut and Bügens. It has the highest crime rate out of any Agarn city with a population over 100,000, particularly when it comes to issues such as homicide and gun crime. However, violent crime has reduced in recent years. Makänder's mayor is Schmidt Alfredson, a member of the Conservative Party.
Bügens
Bügens is the largest city on the east coast of Agarntrop, and is home to the remnants of Agarntrop's decreasing manufacturing sector. Bügens has an overall population of 700,000 and a metro population of 1.1 million. Bügens is the most affluent city on the east coast of Agarntrop, overcoming the economic stagnation of the area in recent years. Bügens' mayor is Hans Beckham, a member of the Socialist Party.

Road Travel
Agarntrop is served by a well-developed and large highway system, consisting of Autoroutes ("A-roads"), Primary Routes ("B-roads"), and Secondary Routes ("C-roads"). Despite the numbering system, many Primary Routes, such as the B-1 highway that consists of a full circle around the Agarn island, have been upgraded to autoroutes since the latter's introduction in 1962, but have maintained their "B" road letter and number, as the "A" letter can only be applied to newly-built autoroutes. Autoroutes and select Primary Routes known as "turnpikes" are managed by the national Transport Department, however other roads are managed by local authorities.
Rail Travel
Agarntrop's railway system consists of a national network of railways that link all cities and towns with a population over 10,000 known as the "Agarn Railway Network" or the "ARN"; commuter rail trains in the metropolitan areas of Wagehut, Makänder, and Bügens; light rail systems in several cities including Wagehut, Makänder, and Bügens; freight rail services; and a rapid transit system in Wagehut. The railway network is state-owned. Currently, trains only run at speeds of up to 180km/h, however the current Government is aiming to increase this to 240km/h by building a high-speed rail link connecting Wagehut, Makänder, and Bügens by 2027.
