Leonz Kehrer (born 12 October 1956) is a Galet politician and activist who has served as a Member of the Council of Equals since 2013. A member of the United Left (UL), he heads the Ministry of Justice, Social Affairs and Public Security since he took office. Kehrer serves as President of the Commonwealth of Galeteri for 2023. Prior to his election to the Council of Equals in 2012, he was a full member of the Council of States (from the State of Garania, 2004–2012). Leonz Kehrer is a professor of political science in the University of Regenza since 2016.
Coming from a working class background, Leonz Kehrer is one of the surviving victims of the 1981 Rotundizona industrial disaster, risked his life to save co-workers, and after the disaster, became one of the faces of the country's labor movement. In 1988, he became the president of the Transnational Federation of Labor and stayed in the position until 2000, after which he entered into politics as a member of the now defunct Democratic Worker's Party of Galeteri. In 2004, he joined the Council of States representing Garania, Machravel with the newly-formed United Left party. Leonz Kehrer has obtained popularity within Galet popular culture due to his sometimes bold decisions and efficiency.
