The Freice National Awards is a system of decorations and medals established to reward Freicians and other nationals for distinguished conduct and other achievements. The system was established in 1998; previously there were no recognised decorations and Freicians were prohibited from receiving foreign awards. Awards are made by the [[Maaita of Freice|Maaita]] on the recommendation of the Representative Council and are announced on Freice National Day (3 April) each year.
