Bøngsund is one of the most visited cities in Thuadia. In 2020, the total earnings from tourism reached about 3.6 billion ACU (~284 billion GLM), making up around 6% of the Economy of Lanoista. The industry employs more than 27,000 people - over 2% of the population. Guidebooks and tourists report overcharging by the taxi drivers, pickpocketing and scam arists (Mängslisjlonge) in the main tourist areas (Bøngsund, Mindrrëhjøwestadt, etc.), though the problem has been improving due to efforts by the Lanoi Tourist Board and The Ministry of Transportation and Tourism, as well as the mayors of Bøngsund and Mindrrëhjøwestadt. Aside from these problems, all of Lanoista is classified as "safe".

Architectural heritage is a large objecz of interest to visitors - with the country’s 3 castles and many châteaux of different architectural styles, such as Nordhækjesløtt, Køngstadtmæsjæt or Sjødhistorrømale. There are many architectually significant cathedrals and churches, and about 25 Gottsløtte (lit. God castles), used by members of The Lanoi Church. A large attraction for visitors are the many food festivals which take place in all of Lanoista over the whole year, such as Fotfestyväl, which mixes traditional Lanoi foods with foreign meals.

Some natural attractions include the Gyllengrrøten (Golden Hills) mountain range in the center of Sjødsjø, and the Nordsjanër rocks on the island of Nordsjø.
