Blazon | Sun in splendour with four extended rays |
The seal of Gylias depicts a sun in splendour, with four extended rays that correspond to the cardinal directions. The sun is surrounded by a thin yellow border.
The seal was created by the Law on National Symbols of 1959, using Elne Maréy's four-pointed sun design from the flag. The symbol is used on official documents and letterheads, on Gylian passports, vehicle registration plates, þaler coins and banknotes, and as part of the logos of government ministries, administrative agencies and public organisations.
