History
Structure
Main article: Vilerian Army Structure
The Federal Army of Vileria possesses a very complex organisation.
In terms of Article 301 al.2b of the Code of Defence, the Army is comprised of:
- The Federal Army Chief of Staff (Chef de l'État-Major Fédéral des Armées (CEMFA)/Capo di Stato Maggiore dell'Esercito Federale (CSMEF)).
- The Federal Army Staff (État-Major Fédéral des Armées (EMFA)/Stato Maggiore dell'Esercito Federale(SMEF)), which gives general direction and management of all the components;
- The Federal Army Inspectorate (Office de l'Inspection de l'Armée Fédérale (OIAF)/Ufficio dell'Ispettorato Federale dell'Esercito (UIFE));
- The Federal Army Human Resources Department (Département des Ressources Humaines de l'Armée Fédérale (DRHAF)/Dipartimento delle Risorse Umane dell'Esercito Federale (DRUEF));
- The Territorial Organisation (see Territorial Organization)
- The personnel training and military higher training organisms.
The Federal Army was reorganized in 2010. The new organisation consists of 3 Combined Corps and given 2 Combat Brigades to supervise each. The 7th Airmobile Brigade was reformed to direct the three combat helicopter regiments. There are also several Division-level (Niveau Divisionnaire/Livello Divisionale) specialized commands including Intelligence, Information and communication systems, Maintenance, Logistics, Special Forces, Army Light Aviation, National Territory, Training.

Military Regions
Main article: Vilerian Military Districts
Originally, the first military districts were known as the Military Administrations (MAs) during the Old Regime, back in 1761 there were 5 MAs, incompacing current Luternia, Florence and Viresia. Those were: North, Central, South-Central, East and West. Then further in 1850 into 13 as most of current day Etyria was conquered.
By 1912, after the Vilerian Revolution and the First Vilerian Civil War, the new military had yet to be reorganized and they transformed the 13 districts into 37, then got reduced to 31 in 1920 and furthermore to 25 in 1927, just before the Second Vilerian Civil War.
During the Military Government of the Second Republic, it changed 3 times in less than a year, passing from 26 to 28 and then finally to 30. After the fall of the State of Vileria, the Second Republic was officially proclamed and the army was basically destroyed. It took 3 years to establish new districts, at first they were only 3: North, Central and South, then evolved into 5: South, Central, Gulf, Tmetama and North. It stayed like this until 1951 with the new Federation where they added a new district called East Merania, from invaded lands 5 years prior.
On the 17th of October 2010, after the Reform Army XXI-X, the Vilerian Government decided to reorganize the Military Districts, passing from 23 to only 8, one for each Federal Territory and one for Senjer (Except modification in 2011 to move North Valais from Central-Western to North-Western Military District for simplification).
