Anterian Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons

The Anterian Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (ATPNW), or the Nuclear Ban Treaty, is a legally binding international agreement to comprehensively prohibit nuclear weapons among its parties, with the goal of leading towards their total elimination. The language of the treaty of drafted in a special conference that took place from September 14th to September 29th, 2020, hosted at the World Diplomatic Tower in The Vanna.

Specifically, For those nations that are party to it, the treaty prohibits the development, testing, production, stockpiling, stationing, transfer, use and threat of use of nuclear weapons, as well as assistance and encouragement to the prohibited activities. For nuclear armed states joining the treaty, it provides for a time-bound framework for negotiations leading to the verified and irreversible elimination of its nuclear weapons programs.

The treaty went into effect on October 6th when Gassasinia and the Fresian Confederacy became the first party to the treaty.
