Behrod III (1358-1412), called the Mad, was the second son of Txerig I. He was King of Trellin and Emperor of Hysera from 1389 to his death. His reign was marked by instability caused by his frequent bouts of insanity and paranoia. His death left the Sidereal Crown without an heir, forcing a search of the imperial archives that uncovered the direct descent of Duke Mahrim of Kazdora from Jemeg I and Tyasa Tiderinë and saw him crowned Mahrim I.
