Trident Union
The Trident Union (Trydentya Erzsa, Kowy), officially the Semi-Direct Democracy of the Trident Union, is a country in Meredonne, located on the northern half of the Avadian peninsula. It consists of eight provinces and two oversea's provinces, spanning over 414,963 square kilometers. The Trident Union shares land borders with Donggua, Stivichia, and Stivichia, and borders the Paisi Strait, Lafyet Gulf, Nod Lake, and Liko Lake. According to the 2020 Census, the Trident Union has a population of 42,937,049. The national capital and largest city is Pinal City, followed by the cities of Ardo, Indium, and Swarshya. The fist people settled in the Trident Union quite early compared to other nations, and developed multiple tribes. In 1623, three major tribes were united to form the Great Republic. However, corruption and corporate influences caused trouble within the nation, and after a failed revolution, Mathew Milgorn's "Trident United Millitia" made a successful revolution against the nation. The Trident Union developed greatly, and has prospered since. The Trident Union operates under a unique system of Semi-Direct Democracy, which provides control of the nation directly ot the people. Freedoms and civil rights are a center part of Trident life, with civic duty and culture being strong valus. The Union's economy has been on a sharp rise since it's revolution. With a large GDP for a country of it's size, income inequality is rare due to the progressive tax system. State-owned corporations dominate many industries, but private buisinesses still have a portion of the economy. The major industries are shipbuilding, marine products, manafacturing, rice farming, bauxite mining, and phosphorus production. Rural areas are dominated by rice farms, though factories and cities have been slowly taking more land. The Union has three major regions: The Liko Lake, East Coast, West Coast, and Ardo Lushland. The Liko Lake is a large lake in the North Trident Union, providing a place for commerce and other products. It is lined with large cities and suburbs, and provides the main source of water for the Union. The third largest city in the Union and former Great Republic capital Swashya lies on it's coast. The East Coast is the largest region, with the capital and largest city, Pinal City, and second largest city and mouth of the great Ardo river, Ardo, inside of the region. It is the center of commerce and trade, with major ports and infrastructure. This East Coast has lots of factories, cities, and over fourty-five percent of the Union lives in this region. The Ardo Lushland is a large region around the Ardo River and it's major tributaries. The river has few major cities, and rather lots of medium-sized towns, cities, and rural areas. The region is the center of agriculture, primarily rice farming due to it's wet and tropical nature. Finally, the West Coast is also major, with the city of Indium lying on. It is arguably an equal sized port with Pinal City, due to it being the only major port to the west. It, like the east coast, is a center of commerce and trade, but uniquely is the center of manafacturing in the Union. Hundreds of factories fill the area, the downside of which is the heavy pollution in the area. It also has a much more western culture than the EastC Coast.

Etymology
The Trident Union is named after the Trident as an object (a weapon). This is due to the fact that the Trident has three spokes, which represent the three main ideas of the Union: "Freedom, Equality, and Safety for all!" Also, Milgorn once used a Trident welded by a poor villager when he captured the Great Republic's capial parliament, and stuck that Trident into the wall of the Parliament in the front. To this day, it is still wedged in the wall. This all caused people to begin calling the new nation "The Trident Union" due to Mathew Milgorn carrying a Trident for much of the rest of the Union's history. It was made official in the Trident Consitution when the nation was referred to as "The Trident Union". The reason the nation is calld a Union is not because it is a union of provinces, or anything of the like. Rather, it is considered this because it is a union of the people in the nation, who have united to run the Trident Union.
History
Early Tribes
7500 BCE The first people settled in the Avadian Peninsula and Normerra. Compared to other areas, the Union and it's surrounding nations were settled quite late. This is likely due to the island being so far East, and that it was separated by water. And even then, almost all early people settled in Normerra rather than the peninsula, and it took thousands of years for the tribes to arrive to the southern tip of the Avadian Peninsula. Even then, only a few decided to settle in the Avadian, most staying in Normerra. But all of the tribes on the island flourished and prospered for important reasons. The island was extremely arable, with the tropical climate benefiting greatly to farming. Early crops grown where rice, wheat, and barley, along with multiple tropical fruits and vegetables. The second advantage of the early tribes on the Avadian was the lack of competition, fighting, and foreign relations. Due to the distance between the island and the rest of the world, most of the world didn't visit the island, meaning it's tribes didn't face the same issues other tribes did. Also, this left plenty of land for these tribes to spread and conquer, because of the small number of tribes. That too, most tribes got along, trading resources with each other. All of these contributed to the flourishing of the tribes.
Development's of Early Tribes
5000 BCE to 1600 CE For the next few thousands of years, these tribes all changed. Some rose, some fell. Some prospered, some crumbled. But over thousands of years, tribes began making new technologies and systems and discoveries. For example, large frigates were created, providing the oppurtunity for trading with other nations. The frigates were equipped with gunpoder cannons too, ahead of other western nations. Medicine research advanced, with herbs and mixtures being used to help people with their ailments. Trident fashion was lavish, with large silk dresses and parties. Multiple religions and phillosophies were practiced including Qosa, Buddhism, and Confuciasm. Even early industrial machinery's were invented, with farming equipment. By the turn of 15th century, there were multiple major cities with modern wooden houses that represented Trident architecture. Some include Jegrakjdstown (Modern day Indium), Neliyasm, Aewfuvoi (Off Milgorn Lake), and Opelita (Modern day Ardo).
Unification
1623 to 1894 Finally, in 1623, there were multiple tribes throughout the Avadian. But overall, there were three that held the modern day Trident Union: Indi, Eeryee, and Ardo Empire. Indi was located along much of the West coast of the. Eeryee was a large empire around the Liko Lake, also bordering the Nod Lake. Finally, the Ardo Empire controlled the Ardo River's entire track, mainly the south and part of modern day Pinal Province. These three tribes fought each other for various reasons, but for an unknown reason, they somehow agreed to a convention between the three. This convention, known as Tri-State Unification Convention, was held in Jegrakjdstown, and they eventually agreed to unify all three nations into one larger one, known as "The Great Republic". It was much more of a confederaton or alliance than a nation, since nations were mostly free to do what they wanted. However, over time, it became much more united, until eventually it formed a parliament, and the nation flourished. This was one of the earliest forms of a parliamentary democracy. It began trading for new materials which were used to build up the present day economy of the Union. Seafood and ship constuction became major industries, and rice farming became more industrial and profitable in the lushland region. Unfortunately, change would continue to plague the nation, and a once flourishing "Great Republic" would fall to these negative changes.
Transformation
1903 By the turn of the 20th century, things were changing in the Great Republic. The earlier parliament would make decisions to support the Republic, which improved life overall. The economy of the nation had risen, infrastructure was improved, and in general life was better. However, private corporations were rising, and the largest flaw of the Republic was that their were no limitation's on these monopolies. Soon, they began putting profit before consumer to such an extent that they began an extreme lobbying campaign in parliament. In just a few years, all of the legislators were corrupted, with them putting themselves before the entire nation. They began making massive tax breaks for these corporations, and providing other beneifts that would only help them while harming the people with heavier taxes. This extended the prevelant issue of the rich-poor divide, causing a very small number of people to control most of the money and thus the entire nation through lobbyiung. Meanwhile, the majority were much poorer, many struggling to get by. Combiend with a corrupt parliament, the situation deteriotared quickly in the Great Republic.
Milgorn Group
1924 By the year of 1924, the Great Republic's Parliament committed gerrymandering and was lobbyed endlessly by corporations. Elections were rigged to make it where whoever these corporations would be in power to maintain their position. Meanwhile, Mathew Milgorn was born in 1905 in the city of Indium. Born to a rare middle class family, the Milgorn's were not rich, but also not extremely poor. However, they faced many of the diffculties that faced the middle class of the Great Republic, including corporations lowering their wages and stealing jobs. By the time he was thirteen, Mathrew Milgorn was an avid protester, frequently giving powerful speeches at such a young age. When he graduated high school, he was set to go to the esteemed Norbata University. However, he held a student protest in 1925, causing him to be arrested by the Great Commune, despite it being peaceful. He was kicked out of university, and spent lots of time doing menial jobs in Indium, promoting his cause. However, he found lots of similar thinking people, who believed in similar ideals. These people would listent to his powerful speech. By 1928, Milgorn had attracted over one hundred followers, all of which believed in equailtity and freedom for all. The Great Republic had also changed, becoming a government which cracked down on it's opposers and which was essentially controlled by corporations. At the time, "The Milgorn Group" was considered radical and extremist. However, hundreds of people were attracted to his cause. But in 1938, Milgorn was put into prison for a treason, along with multiple other Milgorn Group membes. His arrest was national headlines, and many people were appalled at the lack of justice. Despite attempts to suppress this, it would play a major role in fueling a different group: The Velvet's.
Velvet Revolt
1937 On June 7th, 1937 a group of people wearing a red hat planted improvised explosives in multiple location of the city, primarily government offices. Then, one by one, they exploded them. Within minutes, the Great Republic went under martial law, with soldiers charging into the streets. Meanwhile, members of the velvet millitia and normal citizens alike fought them, using IED's and small arms. Fighting, explosions, and violence continued through the next three months, with over twelve thousand dying. The Great Republic sturggled to the get the nation under control, but eventually, they managed to. The revolt had been a failure. Instead of toppling the Republic, it made life worse. The Great Republic arrested and killed any person suspiscous of going against the Republic. Trials were not held, and if they were, they were extremely unfair. Freedoms and rights were suppressed, and businesses were closed down as major monopolies thrived. But in all of the chaos of the Velvet Revolt, Mathew Milgorn was released after his prison sentence had ended. While the group had essentially gone inactive, Milgorn began a rapid revival, attracting the former members and more to join. By 1943, the group had grown to over ten thousand members. They all would be activated at certain times, to conduct various activites. The most important change was the change between peaceful protests to violence. It was necessary, which meant the group became the Milgorn United Millitia. By the time the year 1945 rolled around, a large boat disguised as a fishing boat was constructed where the group's higher-up's met and discussed plans. They conducted prison breaks, attacks on corporations, and more. However, Milgorn had something bigger in mind ever since he had been improsined. And after decades of preperation, training, recruitment, practice, and arming, they were finally ready.
Trident Revolution
1955
Battle of the Parliament
On June 5th 1955, exactly 18 years after the Velvet Revolution, all of the Trident Group's 15,000 members marched to Swashya, the capital city of the Republic on the shores of the Liko Lake. They protested in front of the Capital, inspiring others to join in. The millitary was called in, but the Milgorn United Millitia was peaceful. But they knew that they'd eventually start shooting, and the millitia would start fighting. Hopefully, this would show that the Great Republic had to be taken down, and others would join. In the protest, thousands upon thousands of people joined, filling the streets in the largest protest in the histoy of the region. Finally, on June 8th, after three days, the orders were given. The millitary began shooting, and the millitia, prepared, used heavy weaponry to fight back. It was a massive shock for the five thousand soldies, completely outnumered and outgunned by this millitia. Many either retreated, surrendered, or joined the millitia as they fought. Most of the others ran, but many would join later on with their own weapons. Meanwhile, the millitia used guerilla warfare tactics to fight the Republic, hiding in nearby buildings. Reinforcements were called in, but until then, the capital building was unarmed. The parliament, in a session, was trapped on all sides, and the millitia breached the building. Mathew Milgorn led the way, taking part in the battle, giving commands, and so much more. He lead his elite division through the halls of the parliament, trashing it along the way to show what would happen to the Great Republic. They barged into the parliament, and immediately captured the parliament members. However, by this moment the army had arrived. The remaining members of the Milgorn Millitia that were outside went into hiding spots, meaning that the entire army was fooled into thinking the remaining millitia was inside the parliament. Still under the guise they needed to save the parliamentarians, and quickly entered the Parliament building. As the army had been arriving, the elite regiment had placed explosives at the entrance of the Parliament, a wing of the large building. This meant that when the army was preparing to attack the regiment, they were inside of this building. The Milgorn Millitia took strategic positions in the halls, drawing them towards a specific area just outside the Parliament area. And finally, when they were squeauzed into a specific area, it was already too late, because two explosives destroyed the main structural beams of the area. Within seconds, the entire wing of the building mostly collapsed. With it, those reinforcements were taken. Meanwhile, the millitia charged out into the streets. Some were scared of thenm, but this too was an important objective, and so audio of the millitia helping people were streamed on the radio to gain the trust of the people.
Occupation of Swashya
As this happened, thousands of other's joined in, with their own weapons. Many had weapons from before they had been banned, and thus they were now used. Finally, most soldiers had received the word that the parliament had fallen. This convineced many that it was safe to revolt against the Great Republic. Major regiments mutinied and fought with the Trident's. Most importantly, the Milgorn United Millitia had become the forefront of the fight, meaning it was a united revolt rather than multiple groups. By June 15th, 1955, the nation was at war. The Great Republic technically didn't exist, but some soldiers remained loyal to the nation and fought against them. The millitia had captured Swashya, and over the next few days, Republic symbols, flags, and statues were toppled.
Parliament Flag Destruction
The most famous was the destruction of the Great Republic flag. In the very damaged Parliament, the Great Republic flag still flew above the wreckage, a symbol of the corruption and devestation it had brung. But in the afternoon of the fifteenth, Milgorn and a group of his closest soldiers gave a speech in front of the parliament before himself climbing up along with the soldiers, lowering the flag, and raising a white flag with a sea green Trident. At first there was some confusion, until Milgorn explained. The Trident was an important symbol for cultural and religious reasons along coastal areas of the Avadian/Normerra. Furthermore, it has three prongs: which matched the three ideologies people wanted in the nation (Freedom, equality, and safety). The symbolism of this is also evident, with these ideaologies being used as a weapon to protect the Union. That is why Milgorn decided to make the flag like this. Due to this, the millitia and overall revolutionaries began calling themselves "Tridents" and the "Trident Millia". Overall, this was a major event, setting many of the ideas of the early Trident Union.
Guerilla Fighting Throughout
Around the former Republic, thousands upon thousands of people rose up against their opressors, capturing millitary bases, infrastructure, government offices, and entire cities. These people primarily took over the small and medium sized cities in long periods of guerilla warfare, taking much of the countryside and jungle. This left out the major cities on the modern-day east and west coast of the Trident Union. To capture this, Mathew Milgorn personally led campaigns due to the heavy resistance. At the time, it was disunited, but what Milgorn did which would be essential for uniting the entire area, was he brung different millitias and groups together for these campaigns. To the west, to millitias were in a dispute to the point were they were almost fighting, a major issue for Milgorn. However, he united them together in a united front against the east coast, charging through the lushland region of Ardo and forming the first navy when they captured naval bases and some dreadnoughts. Meanwhile, they used unique guerilla warfare tactics to stealthily encircle and destroy armies, which would cause some soldiers to mutiny. This meant that multiple cities, over the course of nearly a year, were captured through this campaign, including Pinal City (at the time very small). Then in 1956, Milgorn charged west to capture the city of Indium. It was a long, hard battle, with many deaths, including Milgorn's cheif advisor who was hit by an artillery strike. But when all was said and done, the last major stronghold of the Republic had been captured.
Beginnings of the Trident Union=
1956 Fighting continued throughout 1956 and into 1957, during which guerilla warfare on both sides were employed. Meanwhile, on December 19th of 1956, Mathew Milgorn and about one hundred delegates came together in the former parliament at Swashya. Here, they began writing the Trident Constitution, a document over how to run the government. This was the end of the war, and the beginning of the Trident Union. The Swashya Convention was to set up the government. Delegates from all the millitias and other members of them. Mathew Milgorn was the director, and he got to work, penning a constitution with the other delegates. There was lots of compromise, debate, but at the end, they agreed on a unique system. Some sides wanted to institute a represemtative government similar to the early Great Republic with limits. Others wanted to make a socialist system (due to the economic disparity) but with a powerful government. OVeall, they realized that a different poltical system needed to be made to make it as great as possible. Thus, they began making a system where the people actually had the power, and could directly control thier government. At the same time, it needed to be practical and have a leader to represent itself. This, among much else, is how the system of semi-direct democracy was formed. See: Politics of the Trident Union On January 1st of 1957, the constitution went into effect. Trident Union, named after the Trident's that had won the revolution and how all of these "Tridents" had united to fight the Great Republic, was now an autnomous and independent nation. Of course, not all of the Great Republic was incorporated, and they joined other nations such as Donggua to the south. However, it had completely collapsed, and various Trident millitias took out any remaining resistance. The first election was held, and Mathew Milgorn was requested to lead by multiple people. He accepted, and ran for the first prime minister of the Trident Union. There were other millitia members, but Mathew Milgorn's powerful speeches, bold promises, and great policies caused him to be elected. And thus, on the 31st of January, 1957, Mathew Milgorn became the first prime minister of the Trident Union. However, he had a massive job in front of him: uniting the four hundred thousand square kilometer nation under one system.
Mathew Milgorn's Term
1957 At the moment, the nation's laws were not being enforced, causing crimes to be rampant. The Trident economy had fallen dramatically, especially due to the civil unrest. Finally, millitias and groups operated almost independetly, making a basis for split-away groups and internal conflict. This, Mathew Milgorn began his term in the former parliament of the Great Republic, and ordered it's reenovation adn reconstruction to match the Trident Union. Then, he began a major project to unite the Union by uniting the millitary. This eliminated all the millitias, forming them into seperate regiments of the Trident Army who fought against rebels and split-aways. This change massively united the nation, with new uniforms and symbols. Former millitia leaders were now generals, and fought for the Union. Finally, hundreds of flags were raised around the nation, and the Trident Army held multiple marches through streets, singing and cheering with Trident Flags. Next, Milgorn began working on the economy, instituting new companies to boost the economy, providing tax breaks for state owned companies, and growing them to not only provide a source of income to the Union but also to encourage economic growth. Milgorn began reconstructing the Union and creating major infrastructure, which helped make the Union much better and creatre jobs. Elections began with a rocky start, with many simply not showing up to ballots. However, Milgorn encouraged this and caused a higher voter turnout. And he created dozens of departments and organizations to advise and make decisions on certain fiels. Finally, he set precedents for the Trident Union, including that presidents should not serve more than twenty terms (ten years), that they should serve the nation, and by making a strong govenrment. By the end of his ten year term, Mathew Milgorn had done so much. He had single handedly set the precedents and fulfilled his promises at the beginning of his term. However, he was fifty-two years old and was in deteriorating health. He was diagnosed with lung cancer near the end of his final term, and thus decided not to run for a twenty-first term. Mathew Milgorn married in 1963 during his presidency and had a child, who was the mother of Jeanne Milgorn. He lived on for eleven more years after his presidency before dying to lung cancer at the age of 63, having fulfilled his dream: making a better nation.
Developments
1980 Multiple years after Milgorn's death, the Trident Unon was thriving due to his presidency and policies. The Trident Union innovated and made new technology, improving life for all people. The poverty rate fell like a brick, and in 1993, it reached seven percent, an all time low for the Avadian. Overall, people were richer, the economy had risen dramatically, the people were flourishing, and twenty three years after the Great Republic, people were free to do what they wanted. The Union was also much more stable, and remnants of the instability and war was gone. For the next few decades, the Trident Union caught up with technoloy, including radio, television, and other improvements. It became internationally recognizaed and was respected. Overall, the Union experienced a massive rise in all sides of life, making it become much more advanced and great.
End of Isolationism & Modern Day
On National Day, December 19th 2021, the Trident Union's PM Jeanne Milgorn announced an end of isolationism, and that it seeked foreign relation and trade. It began trade with various nations, sent delegations, and got better relations. It also got slight rivals such as Anavero and Vescarium. The Trident Union is a member of the United Eastern Alliance, and is the direcotr of the United Eastern Space Agency. On January 19th, 2022, a car bomb exploded in Capital Circle, in front of the capital. 203 people died, with hundreds more injured. It led to a massive united front against a small millitia group that did not support the Union's state owned corporations.
Geography
The Trident Union has a land mass of 414,963 square kilometers, and spans four coastlines from one side of the Normerra island to the other. This means it has various regions, provinces, and diverse areas all with different things.
Provinces
The Trident Union is split into seven administrative provinces and two oversea's territories, though these serve no actual purpose other than a general seperation. These provinces are diverse and each have different offerings, and rank differently. In order from largest to smallest, they are:
- Pinal Province
- Ardo Province
- Mayrite Province
- Indi Province
- Ulgyab Overseas Territory
- Incei Province
- Molyunh Overseas Territory
- Joomin Province
- Istl Province
It should be noted that the two overseas territories are considered provinces, despite the difference in naming. Citizens within these provinces have the same rights as mainland citizens.
Pinal Province
Pinal Province (PN) is the most populated of the provinces, with the capital and largest city of the Union, Pinal City. With dozens of other large to medium sized cities, the entire province is mostly residential, corporate, and industrial areas. The largest city in the province is the capital of the Union, Pinal City. Furthermore, the Pinal City Metropolitan Area expands for a long distance to it's sattelite cities, the largest metro in the nation. Pinal Province was first settled by early Spanish settlers. However, tribes from the western portions of Normerra and the Avadian Peninsula defeated the Spanish colonies, taking the area for their own. The region was divided by multiple tribes, which developed the area. It was very arable and profitable, due to it's proximity to the ocean and the Ardo River. Pinal Province was breifly in anarchy upon the defeat of the Great Republic in Shasharya, which seperated the former nation into an eastern and western strip. Pinal Province was the site of major fighting in the revolution, with Mathew Milgorn leading a campaign to take it with fierce guerilla warfare. The lush hills experienced extreme destruction, though reperation was quick. Finally, as trade began opening up, Pinal Province was severely modernized, with Pinal City becoming the capital. Major maritime trade occured in this province, causing a massive economical and population boom, expecially due to the effecient land and insutries.
Pinal Province sports multiple cities and residential areas. In large cities, apartments and condos are most common, with the latter being most popular among the Union. Due to the very low rich-poor divide, condos are large and very similar in size, still providing luxury but not extremely large. The province has hundreds of miles of coastline, lines with sandy and rocky beaches, ports, and cliffs. It also has a large shipping lane, where dozens of ships transit along the coast for commerce and trade. The province is filled with lush hills, with wet climate and large rain storms. Tropical storms and earthquakes are prone to strike this province, though less so than the western coast. Pinal Province consists of multiple cultures, though none of it's own. Rather, Ardo culture plays a major role in the south, and in the north, Stivichian culture is widespread. The grasssy plains and rolling hills of Incei culture have a limited effect to the west, and areas such as Pinal City are much more of a general Trident culture. The Cross-National Highway begins in Pinal City, going across the nation to Indium on the West Coast. Pinal Province is home to over 40% of the Trident population, but about 15% of industrial facilities. Pinal Province is critical to the second largest industry, marine products, with the province producing about 55% percent of ships and other marine products. It primarily consists of condos, the major housing in the Union, due to the low rich-poor divide. Overall, Pinal Province is arguably the most influential Trident province, providing a place for tens of thousands of people and lots of businesses.
Ardo Province
Ardo Province (AR) is the second most populated province, and holds a major role among the Union. It contains the critical Ardo River, and primarily is made up of the Trident Lushlands, a region filled with the booming rice farming business. It also contains about fifteen percent of Trident factories. Ardo Province is a very long province centered around the famous Ardo river. Extending to the east coast and all the way to a few hundred miles away from Milgorn Lake. The Ardo River has dozens of tributaries, some large and some small. This means that much of the area is dominated by these small streams and rivers. On the west coast of Ardo Province, there are many major cities. However, the second largest city of the Union and largest city in Ardo Province is called Ardo. With Ardo and it's sattelite cities sitting on the Ardo River Delta, it is a very populated area. Outside of the river, it is much less populated, especially to the south of the river mostly consisting of rice farms.
Meanwhile, shipping along the river is a vibrant business, being the major source of transportation along the Ardo River. Major cities in Ardo are almost always due to major ports to transport resources. In between rivers and tributaries, medium to small cities exist along the river. However, almost all the rest of the land is dominated by rice farming. The swampy, wet, and tropical land contributes to making a very arable area. Over eighty five percent of rice comes from this province, the third largest industry in the Trident Union and the largest agricultural product. The Ardo River continues with, the river being very wide near the east. However, as it approaches the west, large tributaries flow into the river, which means the entire area is swampy and difficult to build on. However, it is perfect for farming. Finally, Ardo Province ends near Milgorn Lake, not bordering the area but getting close. This small area is dominated by massive factories, along with much of the eastern portions of Ardo Province. Ardo Province was first settled by Spanish settlers from the Great Spanish Empire. However, they only managed to colonize the area for about a two decades before they were kicked off by tribes from Normerra and the Avadian. These tribes, finding the great Ardo river, settled in the area, and began farming the arable land. Soon, Ardo became the most critical land to these early civilizations, causing infrasturcture and development to be constructed. Quite a lot of tribes fought for the area, and large cities and villages were constructed. By the turn of the 16th century, a large civilization simply called "Ardo" was made, translating simply to "Water". This civilization developed the area greatly, creating many of the farms we have today. Also, major cities along the river were constructed, creating major centers of trade. In the ancient Trident Union, the Ardo Lushland was arguably the most important peice of land and region due to it's significance. After unification, Ardo was poorly governed. The government was far from the area, and the marshy terrain caused it to be difficult for foreigners to traverse. Thus, until the revolution, most were simply unaffected by the Great Republic. During the Trident Revolution, Mathew Milgorn led a force down the Ardo River where he built up the largest army of the entire war. Many locals along the river were kind, and upon hearing their mission, provided food, supplies, ammunition, and many joined them! This greatly assisted them in fighting in the Ardo River, were troops from present-day Pinal Province were unprepared to fight in. The locals used the terrain to their advantage, employing guerilla warfare tactics and pushing the Republic out of Ardo. Finally, they pushed them up to Pinal Province and defeated them as part of the critical Eastern Campaign. The lushland did not experience the same developments as the rest of the Union due to the already existing infrastructure, though transportation infrastructure was greatly improved by the Trident Union. Also, major cities in East Ardo, factories, and farming innovations were constructed and used, which greatly improved the economy. However, to this day, many areas are still very rural and disconnected from the rest of the nation, some even unaccessible to the rest of the Union.
Ardo Province features a swampy and marshy geography, and experiences flooding from the river. This is a major danger which the Union has been fighting against, which devestates millions. The region also experiences monsoon's, though mostly to the West, and the East experiences heatwaves and dry weather. Finally, much of the region has rolling hills like other parts of the Union, usually a few miles from the river. Ardo Province has it's own unique culture, simply called "Ardo". With influnces from Dongguan culture, it is characterized by an abundance of rice, curries, and noodles, which are ususally cooked in traditional styles. Architecture is also interesting, especially in Ardo where it is a major tourism. Ardo architecture consists of slanted roofs curving off the sides, also known as siheyuans. These buildings are very common, a large contrast from Pinal City and other cities in the Union. Much of the Ardo Lushland region is more "traditional", and much of the culture is based on the river. Floating houses and villages are common, with traditional weapons including bows, knives, and tridents being common along with facepaint. Ardo Province produces over eighty-five percent of rice from the nation, making an entire industry. It also produces about twenty percent of marine supplies, exclusively from the Ardo River and other oceanic supplies in Ardo. It contains some factories to it's East and West. The most common housing is siheyuans, unique from the rest of the nation, while small traditional huts are also common. Overall, Ardo Province has a major effect on the culture and economy of the Union, along with containing the mighty Ardo River.
Joomin Province
Joomin Province (JM) is a large province located along the Nod Lake. Containing multiple major cities and industries, the province is critical to the Trident Union's economy by containing thousands of factories. Joomin Province is the only province to border the large Nod Lake, which borders Soltenia. This lake is the largest on the island, providing an area for major activities. The province also borders Indi province to the south and Istl Province to the west, and two land border to Soltenia. Port cities along this lake produce marine products. However, the main product of the province is located inland. About fourty percent of Trident factories, which fuel the booming manafacturing business within the Union. With resources coming from both imports and other provinces, this fueled the large amount of transportation infrastructure in the province, along with the Cross-National Highway that cuts through this province. Phosphate is also produced in this province, with phosphate rock mining being conducted. However, it is most abundant in other provinces. Joomin Province was first settled by both early nomadic tribes from the mainland and others from present-day Soltenia. Multiple tribes settled in the area, due to it's proximity to the lake. It was quite peaceful compared to other regions, until unification. The Great Republic constructed much of the current infrastructure, and during the revolution, it was liberated without much fighting as part of the western campaign. Joomin is a mix of both the west coast geography and the central Union. The east is dominated by relatively dry rolling hills, though is much more flat providing land for some farming and factories. The south contains a more wetter geography, along with the areas near the lake, though it is not as west as other coastal provinces. Joomin is split when it comes to geography, though areas near the lake are slightly different. Joomin has a much more general Trident culture, though to the south it is very similar to Indi culture.. Overall, Joomin is home to large cities and provides a major industry. It is critical to the Trident economy, with over fourty percent of factories and about twenty five percent of phosphorus production.
Indi Province
Indi Province (IN) is a large province along the West Coast, bordering Joomin and Istl Province to the north. With almost thirty percent of the factories in the Union, Indi province has a massive effect on the Union's economy. It also provides a place for millions to live, serving a similar role to Pinal Province. However, unlike Pinal Province, Indi Culture is unique. The third largest city, Indium, just barely after Ardo, is also the second largest port in the Union. With Indium Port nearly busy and predicted to become more busy than Pinal City Port, it is a very important city and port that facilitates trade and marine product. In fact, Indi Province produces over twenty percent of marine products, just behind Pinal and Ardo Province. As a province, it receives the most trade of any province, more than any other. Indi Province was the first area settled by early nomadic tribes. With multiple landing on the coastal area, they quickly settled in modern day Indium. This created multiple large tribes, and after a few thousand years, a large tribe spanning from the Nod Lake to modern-day Donggua and Joomin province. After unification, it became heavily modernized and infrastructure was developed. During the Trident Revolution, Mathew Milgorn led the Western Campaign, a campaign to take Joomin and Indi Province. However, the main garrason in Indi Province was strong and fought hard, leading to a massive guerilla warfare campaign throughout the war. After the war, guerilla warfare, instability, and fighting was common, and it caused the formation of the Trident Defense Force and a massive campaign to end it. After this, trade began with nations to the West of the Union. And since trade from Pinal City had to go around the island, it was much easier to launch ships from Indi Province. Thus, massive infrastructure provinces for ports began, revolutionizing the area. In the modern day, Indi Province is one of the most influential provinces in the Trident Union, due to it representing the west coast of the Union. Much of this is because of the economic impact of the province. Along the coast, major ports facilitate trade, with marine products and seafood being major industries in the area. However, in-land much of the province is filled with large factories, nearly fourty percent of facories in the nation. This fuels the manafacturing business, and is the home of many major businesses. Unfortunately, Indi Province is also by far the most polluted province of the Trident Union, with smog and pollution being common in major cities. This is one of the major polticial struggles in the Trident Union. Finally, Indi Province has a unique culture. Due to the early settlement from the mainland, or "The East" as many call it (the Union's general area is sometimes referred to as "The Far East". The so-called East is west of the Union.) Early settlers from the mainland had their own unique cultures, meaning Indi has a heavy foreign influence. Indi Culture is a blend of multiple mainland ones, characterized by modern skyscrapers, large traditional styled siheyuans, and more. Noodles, broths, seafood, and stir-fry's are common.
Ulgyab Overseas Territory
The Ulgyab Overseas Territory (UG) is an oversea's province of the Trident Union located north of the Great Spanish Empire. Having the highest population density of any province in the Union, the city is the site of the third largest port in the Union, after Pinal City (PN) and Indium (IN). With a uniquely large population of Spanish people in the province, it has a history dating back to being settled by Spanish conquistadors. They went on to create a permanent colony here
Mayrite Province
Mayrite Province (MY) is a large province centered around the large Liko Lake. Being the fifth populated province, it has history dating back to early history, and due to the abundance of fresh water available almost exclusively to Avadian tribes, it was the center of many civilizations. In modern days, the province serves as the source of the Ardo River, along with many small but cultured towns. Father from the lake, there is an abundance of factories, and along the Ardo River where the lushland begins to fizzle out, there are rice farms. The Liko Lake is a simple dip in the land, and the water here flows down to the ocean through the Ardo River. The areas surrounding it were flat with a great climate, causing many of the first tribes to settle in the area. They'd go on to develop major cities, including the modern-day city of Swashya which flourished. When the three tribes of the modern day Trident Union unified, Swashya was the largest city in the new Great Republic. Being safe from outside invasion, since the Republican Navy controlled the lake, it was chosen as the capital city of the new nation. Throughout these times, the areas nearby became sattelite cities, surrounding the lake. During the Trident Revolution, it was the place where the beginning of the revolt was. During the Battle of the Parliament, the nation's leadership collapsed. After fighting in the region, the Liko Lake region was the first to be liberated. Once the revolution was over, Swashya was established as the Trident Union's capital. However, it's prominence and importance began to decline as the Union's interest went outside the Trident Union. Seeking international relations and trade, city such as Pinal City (PN), Indium (IN), and Ardo (AR) became prominent. The capital was moved to Pinal City so the capital could be closer to international relations. As the east and west coast grew, this lead to Mayrite
Incei Province
Incei Province (IC) is a sparsely populated province north of Ardo, with large amounts of factories and wide wheat farms. With medium-sized cities dotting the province, it has a unique mix of cultures between the Liko Lake region to the west, Eastern Coast to the east, and Ardo Lushland. First being settled by various tribes, it's true potential wasn't realized into later due to it's drier climate than the areas nearby. However, it proved to be the perfect balance for the cultivation of wheat. Throughout it's history, it was controlled by various external empires, which influenced the area with it's cultures' and beliefs'. In the modern day, many cities and suburban areas have been created, along with manufacturing plants seizing up the cheap and expansive land.

Regions
The Trident Union had five unofficial regions that go through the nation. These are characterized by differences in their climate, culture, geography, and people who lived in the region. These regions are the West Coast, East Coast, Ardo Lushland, Liko Lake Area, and Rolling Hills Region. Contrary to popular belief, there are five stars to represent these regions, not the provinces, in the Trident flag.
West Coast
The West Coast Region is a region of the Trident Union centered on the western coast and Nod Lake coast. Extending farther north and bordering the Ardo Lushland and Liko Lake Area, the climate is one of the more rainy climates, with rolling hills and a strong monsoon season. Major cities include Indium (IN), Scerno (JO), and Nobley (IN), characterized by their eastern influenced cultures and being a lifeline between the Trident Union and the rest of the Eastern hemisphere for international trade/commerce. The area was one of the first to be settled, with tribes arriving on the coasts of Indi Province. With major cities, including the city of Jegrakjdsloo, modern day Indium. Many tribes also settled and constructed rice farms near the shores of Nod Lake, including modern day Yellow City (JM). Overtime, people began migrating west causing the development rate of the region to flatten out. However, to this day, the region remains to be a major part of the Union, providing multiple benefits to the economy, culture, population, and resource-production of the Trident Union. It also serves a growing trading area, with shipments from the east arriving to ports such as Indium in Indi Province.
East Coast
The East Coast Region of the Trident Union is centered on Pinal Province and the far eastern portions of Ardo Province, including Ardo (AR). With the region mostly consisting of the culture of the Pinal Province, along with some hints of Ardo culture to the south, this is considered the most developed and populous region. The East Coast region was first colonized by Spanish Conquistadors from across the sea, but they were fought off by a variety of tribes from inland. These tribes would settle in the region, enticed by the small strip of land between the sea and arable Ardo Lushland. Over time, it would grow to become more and more prominent. After the revolution, it became the economic enter due to being near Ardo and the Ocean at the same time. This resulted in the capital being placed in Pinal City, the two largest cities developing and prospering, and the modern day prominence.
Ardo Lushland
The Ardo Lushland is a region characterized by being centered around the Ardo River. With rice farms between lush hills, and in the south a thick jungle, the area is considered one of the most prominent of regions, being the center of many ancient civilizations and even now being a major agricultural and manufacturing hub with a distinct culture. The Ardo Lushland was first settled by tribes from the East and West, which followed the Ardo River. Finding the lush area which was superb for farming, they settled here. A variety of tribes and civilizations would stay here,
