The Vestric Republic (High Vesperian: Réspubliqua Vesperia), also known as Vesperia, the Vestric Union, First Federation, Imperial Vestrim, and informally as the Vesperian Empire, the Vestric Empire or the Empire of the West was a Pan-Vestric Federation that existed in Vestrim from 1809 to 1873, following its forced dissolution at the hands of foreign and internal powers in the War of the Alliance.

Officially established in 1809 following the Declaration of Union in the Societae city of Tranquility, which saw the Republic's formation from the unification of several newly independent Vestric states forged after the Vestric Revolutionary Wars and a response to the growing fears of Asuran Powers looking to re-established their colonial foothold on its former colonies, this especially provoked by the Columbian Incident, which saw a brief confrontation between an allied fleet of freed colonies and various Asuran ships. The Republic's formation saw quick period of peaceful expansion with other free settlements and newly formed nations as well as increased tensions between freed nations and some of the remaining colonial holdings on the continent. This gave raise to a period of Pan-Vestric Nationalism and some insurgency in remaining colonial holdouts wishing to break free of their respective empires and join the republic.

This lead to the Republic entering various conflicts with colonial powers such as Hergemoth and the Lhedwin over control of the various remaining colonial territories on the continent during the 20s and 30s. While not seeing the total liberation of the remaining colonial territories, the Republic did strike some major victories and gains during the wars as well as inflicting heavy losses on colonial forces. The Republic's string of success started to catch the attention of various powers in Asura. The Republic saw some expansion into Yidao and Rennekka during the 40s and 50s, which saw the establishment of several new Vestric Spheres of Influence and colonies of their own, with Vestric Rennekka being arguably one of the most successful non-Asuran colonial possessions at the time, being carved out of various native states and freed former colonies either via peaceful integration or war, with the infamously destructive Rennekkan Campaigns being a notable example of the Republic's aggressive expansion into the area. Increased mercantile activity in Yidao led it into various naval conflicts and confrontations with both native and Asuran powers alike, and further increasing the growing fear of the Republic by Asurans, later being perceived as a threat to the years of Asuran World Hegemony.

Vestro-Asuran Tensions reached a boiling point following a naval confrontation in the Jade Sea between NATION#1 and the republic, as well as the Republic's alleged involvement in inciting insurgency in remaining colonies in 1864. The following year saw various declarations of war by several Asuran powers, the coalition of Asurans powers were quick to be referred to as the "Alliance" by the media. The war saw the invasion of the Republic's Yidao Territories and the aiding of anti-Vestric forces in Vestric Rennekka. The Death of Sovereign Thucydides in 1867 and the coronation of his 23 year old son resulted in the destabilization of the empire, with the new Sovereign's brutality and paranoia, members of government, military leaders and the people alike started to question the young Sovereign's right and mental capability to rule, resulting in several assassination attempts which furthered his insanity and paranoia. A successful assassination in 1971 saw a mass mutiny, as several new factions try to take the throne. With the republic's government's effective collapse, the Alliance made a swift campaign to occupy the remains of the fallen empire. By 1973, the republic was completely occupied by Asuran powers and was forced into dissolution and the granting of independence to many of its Rennekkan Colonies.
