The Liberator was founded by the Liberationist Party of Namor and served as its mouthpiece. Under Liberationist rule, the paper enjoyed uncontested popularity, but later faced competition from non-governmental media as liberalization took hold. Ownership of The Liberator was transferred to The Liberator Company following the passage of a law that banned political parties from owning print media.

The Mojing Sibo is the oldest newspaper in Namor. It was shut down during the Green Fever and experienced financial problems but was resuscitated by entrepreneur Daiji Sang, who brought the newspaper and later made it an asset of New Age Media Limited. The Mojing Sibo was known for its anti-government editorial line; since democratization, it is considered to have a neoliberal, right-leaning orientation.
