Amadar IV (4 May 1872 – 28 November 1939) was the son of Hasper. He was King of Trellin, Emperor of Hysera and King of the Isles of Velar from 1904 until his death. His marriage to Countess Palanei of Kur'mala, in 1917, brought her territory into the empire as its easternmost province.
Amadar inherited the throne of an empire which five years previously had been torn apart by civil war. In 1913 he issued the Decree of Reordering and Restructuring, beginning a period of almost complete isolation that endured until its termination by his grandson, Mahrim II, in 2014. Over the next three decades he completely rebuilt the industrial economy of western Trellin and, in secret, vastly increased the empire's military strength in preparation for a war against Andamonia, which had seized the Trophy Ports of Rha'gutza and Khorvu during the civil war. The resulting seven year-long Trophy Wars failed to achieve their primary aim, though they reunited Txekrikar and laid the foundations for its entry into the empire twenty five years later. A ceasefire was called in mid-October 1938, but negotiations failed to accomplish anything and both Trellin and Andamonia were left in ruins. Amadar died a year later and was succeeded by his eldest son, Karindos III.
