Karindos III (26 August 1920 – 24 February 1986) was the son of Amadar IV. He was King of Trellin, Emperor of Hysera and King of the Isles of Velar from 1939 until his death. He was succeeded by his son and eldest child, Mahrim II.

In 1948, Karindos attempted to introduce legislative standardisation to the Isles of Velar relative to the rest of Trellin, but it was blocked by the Velaran legislature who subsequently issued a formal complaint to him for overstepping his rights as Velar's constitutional monarch.[1] In the 1950s, Karindos standardised the levels of Trellinese provinces and their subdivisions, although he did not attempt to standardise the degree of devolution accorded them. In 1964, he moved the legislative and administrative centre of Hysera to Ledigar from Hyser.

He married Lorel Hathria on 8 October 1965 and had two children, Mahrim II and Rayarë, Duchess of Gerint.
