Steunhal is a city in Durnstaal. Founded in 1432 as Steunhal and incorporated in 1756 as Steunhal. It is a major stop of the Durnstaal Transnational Railway and a hub of the highway network. A population of 1,403,000 as of 2020 makes it the nation's eleventh largest city.

Identity
Steunhal is one of the oldest cities in Durnstaal and many of its buildings are older than the country itself. The city has become a center for the arts and literature along with education, especially of architecture, seeing themselves as the modern extension of the old masters of their respective genres.
Economy
Canned goods, processed meat, quarried stone, and glassware form major portions of the economy alongside textiles and consumer electronics. Many books are printed in the city as well and tourism forms a significant portion of the city's annual income.
