The Allied States of Alonnisosa, most commonly known as Alonnisosa, is a nation in Adula, bordered by Alcarres, Durnstaal, and maritime borders with Emmiria, Ordayia, and New Elkland in the Albarine Sea. Its capital and largest city, Athenos, is likewise its center of commerce and culture. Other major settlements include Sparnata, Selassa, Salapolis, Aytelea, Tomissa, and Colyrna. The country has a population of 22.2 million people, with more than 80% living along the coastal regions. The interior of the country consists largely of rugged mountainous terrain. The region has a rich culture and a strong identity. Many cultural phenomena that are seen internationally as distinctively Central Adulan are largely or entirely Alonnisosan in origin. Alonnisosa has a long and rich history, developing as an intersection of the Bezdekia Road, a series of kingdoms culturally dominant over much of the northern Albarine Sea, and later an important vestige of the Emmirian Empire. Its prominent development as a republic came following the Barretoan Wars in 1843, after which rapid industrialisation brought about the region's importance in modern shipping industries. In 1987, a new constitution was introduced in an effort to enact fairer political representation among the various states.
It is a member of the CCA, WEDA, and TAFCA.
