Saint Marina is the second-largest city of Albarine after the capital of Saint Raneau. It has a population of 1.2 million people and is situated within a peninsula of the Abraine River about 15 km (9 mi) from its mouth at the Valini Bay, which is along the vital Albarine Sea-Tarijar Strait-Emmiria Sea waterway. As such, Saint Marina is one of the busiest ports in Adula. Saint Marina is located in the hilly floodplain of the Abraine River Valley between Valini Bay and the Taylor mountain range. It sprawls across several local government areas, most centrally the City of Saint Marina, Albarine's most populous local government area. The demonym of Saint Marina is "Marinite".

Saint Marina is classified as a global city, and is a centre of research and innovation in Southern Adula, with strengths in medicine and biotechnology. A transport hub, Saint Marina is served by large rail, bus and ferry networks, as well as Abraine International Airport and Albarine's second-largest seaport. A diverse city with over 32% of its metropolitan population being foreign-born, Saint Marina is consistently ranked among the world's most livable cities. Galleries and museums are an important part of the city's culture, with the most prominent being the Saint Marina Art Gallery and Abraine Gallery of Modern Art. Saint Marina is a popular tourist destination. Major landmarks and attractions include South Bank Parklands, the City Botanic Gardens, Lelle Square and City Hall, the Story Bridge, and the Lookout Sanctuary.
