Vuku (Aanyaka: Vuku /vú.kú/), officially the Republic of Vuku (Aanyaka: Vuku Vungànyèbĩ /vú.kú vú.ŋà.ɲɘ̀.bĩ́/), is an island state and archipelago on the southwestern rim of the Toyana Ocean. It is located to the south of Kahului-Kanau, east of Baystate, and northwest of Mist Carthara Islands. Its five islands total about 4,050 km² (1,564 mi²) in land area, making it among the smallest sovereign states on Iearth; about one third of the country’s nearly 200,000 inhabitants live in the metro area of Bajitika, which is its economic center, while Vukeba is the nation's judicial capital.
Vuku is a developing country, measuring fairly low on indicators of human development; current challenges include sustainable economic expansion, resource management, and advancements in telecommunications infrastructure.
