Identity
Novada has always had a strong focus on work ethic and economic strength. The city tends to identify itself as the crossroads between the rural interior and modern edge of the country. The city has a strong nationalist streak, both for and against Durnstaal, with separatist organizations such as New Blood and Yuran Rising claiming many members within the city and terrorist organization Nov'yusvit believed to operate heavily within the city.
Economy
Novada is the main link between the mines and farms of the nation's interior and the economic centers of its outer edges. Its connection to both the Durnstaal Transnational Railway and the road network of the interior allow it to serve as a transportation hub for the raw material mined and grown in the rural areas of the nation's core. The city's manufacturing is heavily focused on material refining with copper, steel, aluminum, gasoline, and plastic all being produced in large amounts. Many individual parts are produced in the city as well before being shipped to other cities for assembly into finished products.
