Malbordenkz is a city in Durnstaal. Founded in 1886 as Lokaz, the town was abandoned following an outbreak of plague in 1898 which killed an estimated 92% of the then-population of 460. The survivors fled, leaving the site abandoned until 1912 when it was founded as New Lokaz on sponsorship of Konstyantyn Kalinichenko as a company town for the mining company he owned. This venture proved short-lived when in 1916 the town was devastated by a fire which claimed the lives of 17 miners and 9 others, including Kalinichenko himself, leading to the town's second abandonment by 1918 as the remaining residents left following the closure of the mines. The town's third and final refounding would come in 1939 with the settlement of Alexandre Vysoká who discovered the first evidence of titanium in the area. The resulting Titanium Rush swelled the town considerably and it was officially incorporated in 1949.
