The Northeast Euronia Commerce and Travel Organization, commonly referred to as NECTO or the Northeast Euronia Organization, is an intergovernmental economic, political, and travel organization between several nations in the northeastern Euronia region, including Arenacia, Beatavic, Drezquenia, North Kandson, and Tunio.

History

Founding

The Northeast Euronia Commerce and Travel Organization (NECTO), was envisioned by current Drezquenian President, Elias M. Zacpal in the final week of September 2021. President Zacpal met with the Supreme Parliament of Drezquenia, and after a strong discussion, Zacpal gained the approval and support by the Supreme Parliament to create the NECTO. Zacpal went on to say to the Przemków Star;

"I wanted to create something that not only highlighted the diverse northeastern region of Euronia, but also something that brought promise and opportunity to smaller states in the very same region. The NECTO was just an idea in the beginning, and a quite troublesome one at that, but soon, it evolved into something far greater. Once I heard from my secretary that Tunioan President [Matthew] Recoss signed the agreement that we sent to him and his government, I was ecstatic. I am a man, and a man will admit when he shed a few tears. I did once I heard the great news."

Soon after inviting ten different states in the region, four eventually joined the NECTO within the first twenty-four hours.

The name 'Northeast Euronia Commerce and Travel Organization (NECTO)' was also brought up by Tunioan President Matthew Recoss, and it stuck. The original name of the project was 'the Przemków Accords', but Zacpal liked the name 'NECTO' so much, that he jumped upon the idea and couldn't let it up.

An official first charter will be created during the first NECTO Summit, which currently has no date or location.
