  1. 16 years of age is known as the age of Selective Consent, when adolescents are allowed to experience intercourse after learning about it and meant for individuals of ages between 16 and 18, meaning, individuals aged from 16 to 18 can only consent to and have consentual intercourse with individuals aged 16 to 18.
  2. Individuals with ages more than 18 having intercourse with individuals less than the age of 18 would not be deemed as consensual sexual intercourse.
  3. The actual age of consent is 18 years of age which is knwon as Universal Age of Consent.
  4. 16 years of age is known as Age of Partial Majority meaning that individuals can legally consume alcohol in the supervision of individuals above the age of 21 (drinking in closed circles) but cannot legally buy alcohol (unless in Autonomous Provinces or Islands).
  5. 21 years of age is referred to be the Age of Universal Majority meaning individuals above this age can buy alcohol on their own and do not require any supervision for consumption of the same.
  6. Autonomous Provinces and Islands have freedom to not follow the Union Guidelines on Alcohol and hence many of them, especially the Autonomous Islands have very low ages of majority, making them popular tourist destinations owing to their cheap and easily available alcohol.
  7. Romeo & Juliet laws generally applied on a case-by-case basis.
