The Republic of Chaesia, most commonly known as Chaesia, is a state of Drambenburg, having ceded in a referendum in 2022. Prior to that, it was an independent country and a member of the Coalition of Crown Albatross located on the continent of Euronia, bordered by Avergnon, Shoassau, Blaoria, and Montemera. The country separated the Den Haag enclave from contigious Drambenburg. Conquered by the Drambenburgian Empire in the 13th century, Chaesia shifted being controlled by numerous entities until the World War's aftermath and the Treaty of Antirault created an independent state. With a population of 8.3 million, it has one of the highest rates of native-born citizens proportional to the rest of its population in the world. It is a representative democracy, and the President of Chaesia is Till Schultze, who was elected in 2022 defeating incumbent Severin Haugwitz. Schultze now serves as the governor of the state. It is a developed state with an advanced economy, thanks in large part to tourism due to the exceptional preservation of vast fortifications and historic quarters.
