|Every healthy male Yugoslav citizen must complete six months of military service. Until 1989 and the passage of the Law on Modern Armed Forces, conscription lasted 12 months for Land Forces and 16 months for the War Navy. Since the start of the Yugoslav-Cordobez War over Severje in 2024, conscripts have had their conscription extended indefinitely, as the need of the military for fresh recruits is exponentially larger. No planned demobilisation is currently in sight.
