Sekidean Charter published as a book, translated into Zhoushi

The Sekidean Treaty System, commonly erraniously referred to as the Sekidean Charter, is a set of agreements bound into a single set that guide and set basic rules of the Sekidean Union and relations within the Inner Sekidean Union. All countries joining the Union are obligated to obey said rules as a condition for their acession. It is the main cornerstone of the Sekidean Union, which, outside of the Sekidean Charter itself includes treaties preceding the Sekidean Charter and treaties exclusive to the Inner Sekidean Union.

History

Before the SU

Two most important documents of the time preceding the establishment of the Sekidean Union is the Treaty of the Shanghou River, which established the Shanghou Pact and Treaty establishing the Purple Community. Both of those treaties associated chunks of the alliances into what was later to become the Sekidean Union, both politically and from the current interpretation of the Sekidean Treaty System.

Early years

The Sekidean System itself began with the signing of the Agreement of the merger of Shanghou Pact and Purple Community into Sekidean Union in 1983. The agreement officially merged the Shanghou Pact and the Purple Community into a single union, named the Sekidean Union. Eventually, with the number of members increasing and the set of necessary requirements rising as an effect, the Sekidean Charter expanded from the basic unifying treaty to a set of treaty documents, the Sekidean Treaty System.

With the signing of the Amendment to allow establishment of control systems within the Sekidean Treaty System, the Sekidean Treaty Court was established. The Sekidean Charter was expanded multiple times since then, eventually culminating in the establishment of the Inner Sekidean Union.

Two unions

In 2011, a document named the On establishment of the Inner Sekidean Union was signed, forming the basics of the rules and relations between countries, who choose to cooperate closer via the Inner Sekidean Union and countries associated to this core via the Sekidean Union as a whole. Those countries, who decided to stay out of the centralization process are sometimes informally known as the Outer Sekidean Union.

International deals

The Sekidean Union has the capacity to ensure some economic, political and military deals with other countries, unions and organizations. Among the most notable, a deal with the Dokodo Union and a seperate deal with the Norterric Assembly have been signed.

The Sekidean Charter begins with the cornerstone of the Sekidean Treaty System, the Agreement of the merger of Shanghou Pact and Purple Community into Sekidean Union.

The charter has been later amended to include a document guaranteeing all Sekidean citizens the following rights:

Inner Sekidean Treaty System

The biggest part of the Sekidean Treaty System, the Inner Sekidean Treaty System is the official constitution of the Inner Sekidean Union and guards the establishment, functionality, operation, responsibilities and rights of Inner Sekidean institutions, such as the Sekidean Parliament, Sekidean Cabinet, Sekidean Presidency, monetary union via the Sekizone, multiple other cooperations, such as the obligation to transfer to green energy and/or nuclear power away from non-renewable resources.

Unlike the Outer Treaty, where the Charter is amended via a vote in the Sekidean Cabinet of Leaders, the Inner Sekidean Treaty System is written, approved, amended and edited by the Sekidean Parliament, a bicameral parliament consisting of the directly elected Sekidean Assembly, which serves as the lower house, and the indirectly elected Sekidean Council, which serves as the upper house.

Currently, 10 member states choose to associate via the Inner Sekidean Union and as such are obligated to follow the Inner Sekidean Treaty System.
