Alenchon is a city located in Zamastan and is currently the 36th-most populous city in the country. It is the capital and second-largest city of the province of Alenchon after Anchorhead, with a population of 2.1 million people. It is located on the Covenpool River, directly across from Tregueux province. Situated among the foothills of the Louise Mountains at an elevation of just over 1,000 feet (300 m) above sea level, Alenchon features unique topography that includes rolling hills, lush greenery, and the densest urban tree coverage of any major city in Zamastan. The origins of Alenchon could be seen in trading posts of Quetanan settlers in the 1500s, but the city of Alenchon was originally founded as the terminus of a major federally-sponsored railroad in the mid 1800s. It soon became the convergence point among several railroads, spurring its rapid growth. The largest was the Cantalle and Alench Railroad, from which the name "Alenchon" is derived, signifying the city's growing reputation as a major hub of transportation. The city quickly became a national industrial center and the unofficial capital of the "Fresh Southeast".

Alenchon is home to several professional sports teams, including the Vipers (ZBL), Eagles (ZFL), and Warriors (ZSL). The city's economy is considered diverse, with dominant sectors in industries including transportation, aerospace, logistics, healthcare, news and media operations, information technology, finance, and biomedical research and public policy.
