Aurelia is a city in the Zamastanian Province of Titania, and is the 20th most-populous in the country and second most-populous in the province, after Titania, with a population of 3,241,000. Aurelia is a riverine island surrounded by Aurelia Bay. In addition to Aurelia, the main island, another 34 islands and a mainland portion are part of the municipality, totalling 93.381 square kilometres (36.05 square miles). Originally there were 50 islands, many of which were joined to the largest island by landfill.

The city was founded in the mid 1550s as a refuge for Drambenburgian settlers fleeing religious persecution. It grew as a colony within the eastern coast of what is current day Zamastan along the Titania Bay, and was annexed in the 1880s by the policy of expansionism adopted by post-Parabocan War presidents. It was a target for Drambenburgian bombing during the World War, where thousands of citizens were killed. Following the war, the city's industry grew and it became a major port.

The city is closely linked to mining activity, being a port and the chief service hub for one of Zamastan's major mining areas. While silver and saltpeter mining have been historically important for Aurelia, since the mid-19th century copper mining is by far the most important mining activity for the city fueling a steady growth in the areas of construction, retail, hotel accommodations, population growth, and a remarkable skyline development until the end of the 2000s commodities boom.
