Euan Gunn is a Zamastanian Church of Zian pastor, activist, and politician, serving as the current senator representing the Tregueux's 2nd District in Congressional Hall since 2012. He is a member of the Green Liberal Party, and was elected Majority Leader by his caucus for the 109th Congress. He is known for his roles in extending voting rights and pressing gun-control legislation, which has put him at the forefront of the GLP's political spectrum. Considered by most political experts to be, as The Tofino Times once described him, "a classic liberal in the tradition of Cassious Castovias", Gunn once said that he wanted to create a "Melting-Pot Coalition" of various minority groups. Though heavily pro-LGBT, pro same-sex marriage, pro-gun control, and pro-cutting defense spending, Gunn is more conservative on his views of abortion, thanks in part to his religious heritage.

While most aspiring presidential candidates traditionally wait until February of election year to announce their intent to run, Gunn announced his candidacy to run for President of Zamastan on April 3rd, 2019, making him the first politician to enter the 2020 Zamastanian Presidential Election cycle. He ultimately lost to Atticus Moreau and fell to fourth place behind Sabine Armitage and Cain Blackwater.

Early life and education

Gunn was born in Tregueux, Tregueux, on September 18, 1972. He grew up in public housing as the eleventh of twelve children born to Verlene and Abraham Gunn, both Church of Zian pastors. His father served in the Zamastanian Army during the World War, where he learned automobile mechanics and welding, and subsequently opened a small car restoration business where he restored junked cars for resale.

Gunn graduated from Garrett Johnson High School in 1989 and attended the University of Tofino, from which he graduated cum laude in 1993 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. He then earned Master of Divinity, Master of Philosophy, and Doctor of Philosophy degrees from Tregueux Theological Seminary, a school affiliated with Tregueux University.

Political views

As a Zamastanian senator, Gunn has embraced a progressive agenda.

On abortion, Gunn has described himself as a "pro-choice pastor." In December 2011, during Gunn's Senate campaign, a group of 25 ministers wrote him an open letter asking him to reconsider his abortion stance, calling it "contrary to Christian teachings" and saying abortion disproportionately affects black Zamastanians. The Gunn campaign responded with a statement, writing that "Gunn believes a patient's room is too small a place for a woman, her doctor, and the government and that these are deeply personal health care decisions - not political ones." Gunn does support the continuation of the country's third-trimester abortion ban, however, while most of his GLP colleagues support its abolition.

Gunn supports stricter gun control legislation.

Gunn supports expanding the allowance cap for Zamastan's immigration acceptance code.
