Kingston is a neighborhood located in northwest Tofino, bordered by Belles to the east, Kitsilano and Embassy Row to the south, sitting on the northeast corner of Kingston Bay and across the Zian River from Tirzah. Kingston is primarily residential, known for being one of the richest neighborhoods in the world, thanks to its often lavish rowhouses and apartments, proximety to Congressional Hall, the CCA headquarters, and downtown districts making it a suitable area for prominent politicians and businessmen to keep residences. The neighborhood is a hub for tourists, thanks to notable points of interest, restaurants, world-famous houses, and frequent celebrity sightings. Kingston is also known as one of the centers of the city's art world, with over 200 galleries in the neighborhood including the Tofino Art Museum, and the neighborhood hosts the annual Tofino Film Festival at the Warren Nevisa National Theater. The neighborhood was named for King Aturo of Skith, who visited the Tofino colony in 1765.
